I hate Western music/rythm games because you don't feel like you're actually playing the songs. All you do is press buttons and if you miss one the song just stops playing unlike their Asian counterparts where you actually feel that you're playing the songs. The Korean DJ Max and Japanese Guitarfreak/Drummania are far more superior but iirc the latter was only released in Japan on the PS2 and Arcades. Last edited by YenRou; 05-01-2012 at 05:48 AM. |

DJ Max is in a league of its own. It is by far (IMO and many hardcore rhythm fans will agree) the best rhythm game on any current gen console. It is extremely fun, very customizable in terms of visuals, abilities, game FXs, etc and extremely challenging to master at all levels.
I've been tracking the Vita version like a hawk and it's slated for Korean release in June 2012 and for an international release in Summer 2012. It is the reason I bought my Vita and I'd be willing to drop everything to try and master Technika, the only variation of DJ Max I have not played.

I flock to DJ Max Technika machines :x For those who don't know how it works compared to others, you don't really just tap to the beat. But rather press, hold, and slide as a rhythm bar sweeps from the left. Fun to play, difficult to master. It probably will go down as the best touchscreen game to hit the Vita this summer. Definitely a drop everything for game! As DJ Max Technika Tune was another reason I got the Vita. |

If it doesn't have a platinum trophy... words can't describe. I also anticipate the trophies will be so damn hard hopefully there isn't anything like A or higher ranking all songs on higher difficulties. I could see a standard DJ Max game being released with like get S or higher or something on all songs on 8 buttons -_- FML. Or get all "discs (medals)" etc DJ Hero isn't shitty and the notes actually correspond with the music; as does DJ Max. DJ Hero is very hard because it requires multitasking and speed whereas a game like DJ Max requires (much more) precision and speed (accordingly, depending on what you set the speed multiplier to). They are different kinds of games, hard in their own regards but IMO to get S ranks on the harder DJ Max songs with 6 or 8 buttons requires a lot more skill.

Already prepared to see another 100% list for Next Miku Project Diva. Hope we won't be let down here. Damn hard would be sweet, and dose of grind to keep us all playing into the whee hours of the night. If I had to guess on DJ Max since Portable 3 PSP had challenge achievements like clear all missions, many 90% rates, max DJ level. Which were not too bad, nothing like master (8-button) S-ranks. But you know they probably won't be so kind when they get a hold of trophies >_> |

i just youtubed, it looks hella fun. I always like games where ur hunting for platinum with ur skill. Say ur platinuming a difficult shooter, u did it, but u did it by playing by their rules, game mechanics, etc. But with games like this, it pretty much all relies on what you can bring to the the table. I hope this is a rlly hard platinum. looks addictictive as fuck!
