Default Sony Announces 2 FREE Augmented Reality Games For Vita

Quote:
At CES, we scored a backstage demo of Table Soccer, one of three augmented reality games that show off PS Vita’s Wide Area Augmented Reality capability.

Today, Sony Santa Monica Sr. Manager Dave Thach returns with two new augmented reality games, Fireworks and Cliff Diving. Both are part of the Augmented Reality Suite coming exclusively to PS Vita on Feb 22nd on PSN for free. Also, packaged with your PS Vita will be six AR cards which will also work with Reality Fighters, and other great AR experiences.

Fireworks transforms the world around you into a firework display where you’ll literally touch the apex of the firework for multipliers, combos and points. Cliff Diving introduces you to diver Dave, where you’ll have him diving off your coffee table into a virtual body of water.

Before you check out this video, make sure you watch our very first tour with Table Soccer which completes the AR Suite on PS Vita.

Instead of telling you more, I’ll let Dave Thach show you!

Dive Into PS Vita’s Augmented Reality Suite

this is kinda cool

I wonder if they will have trophies. If so, we get quite a bit of free trophies with a PS Vita purchase.

Simple, but very clever. I know they are more like mini games rather than actual titles, but the only reason they are being released is to show off what the Vita can do. I think AR is really impressive though.

love the trophies... I really do hope as well that these come with a few trophies. This will easily be my best V-Day gift ever.

well, Welcome Park has trophies and it's free. In fact, it's basically a tutorial on how to use the Vita's features. lol. So assuming these games have trophies as well isn't too far fetched but I wouldn't hold my breath either.

Trophies would be nice, but I'm thinking their more like the PS3 mini's...the Tank game one is like $10 on the JPN store though, so bigger price than mini's could/should have trophies.

If they do, I'll end up getting most of them, if not I'll take my two freebies then bow out gracefully.

Though the Alien Autopsy one in the other vids I might buy...
