Can anyboody vouch for something like this?
While my PS3 works almost perfectly, it's getting up there in age and I'm not sure if it can handle forthcoming summer heat. Are anybody using stuff like this to cool down their PS3s and do they actually make a difference? Thanks. |

Supposedly these are just a waste of money and won't actually make your console live longer. At least as far as the fan versions are reviewed.
Not to mention, with this you will have one less USB port free on your PS3. But it does look cool... |

Sorry but these "so called" cooling fans dont work at least not on a console PS3/Xbox for the simple reason theres no vents under the consoles so no cool air can get in,
Now a laptop has vents under it sooooo, The only thing realy that these things are good for is to look pretty. |

That thing just sits under the PS3 and there aren't any vents down there. It would remove heat from down there, but you could probably keep it a lot cooler just by standing it up vertically and then the "bottom" wouldn't be trapped against the table top in the first place.
But for 7 pounds, what the heck
