If I were to create another sub account on my system for my kids to use, would they be able to play games I have downloaded such as Plants vs. Zombies? Like stated, this would be on my already existing console.

The games are stored on your HDD, not on certain accounts, so yes any account on the same PS3 will be able to access any games/DLC.

Yeah your partially right but it's 5 systems that an account can be activated on not 5 accounts that can use a game.
