To all European users outside the UK. Amazon question.

I just ordered a game yesterday via Amazon Germany and the estimated delivery time was 3 days and the shop selling it was in Germany.

Today I received a notification from amazon that the game was sent but the problem is it was sent via Royal Mail + I'm only going to receive it on the 27th-30th.

When should I expect it? Is amazon allowed to pull this kind of stunt?

It's kind of bullshit.

Don't know how useful this info is, but when I order from amazon.co.uk, when it has been shipped it usually takes less than a week for it to arrive.

It's kind of bullshit.

Pull what stunt? They give an estimated delivery time not a guaranteed one.

I'm not too concerned about the delivery date since like you said, it's an estimate.

But saying that the shop in Germany and it turns out to be in the UK is fucked up and borderline fraud.

Plus, it would be 3~ days if the shop was in Germany but it's not.

Best thing to do is send a complaint email - most big names get back to you and come to an arrangement.

You might even earn yourself some vouchers if you push the right buttons.

Amazon ship their games both from Germany and UK. 3 out of 10 times my games are shipped with Deutsche Post instead of Royal Mail, despite that my order was placed at the UK store.

Amazon is a little different because they don't have a physical store.

I ordered some games from Amazon and if the estimated date is 27th-30th I think it should arrive on the 27th.
My last order came from greece (to portugal), I ordered it on a friday and it arrived on tuesday ( before the estimated time)

EDIT: I just read the feedback section of the shop and they all received their games in 3-4 days just as amazon described on the item page. I guess I shouldn't take the email to heart then
