Haven't decided if I'm going to spend a lot of time to plat this yet. I just got to Oebra in Chapter 11, and things seem to be well so far; got my CP maxed at level 4 for 3 main rolls on my 3 lead characters, and around 100k CP saved up. The Cie'th missions look very annoying, especially all these "5-star every mission" things. Seems like it'll be a grind for the plat.
I'll definitely consider though.... as time consuming as it is, it's quite a fun game, even though I was never a big fan of RPG before. Thanks for the guide, Aeliana |

I gave up on the platinum for this, Treasure Hunter was too much work, and I accidentally sold some stuff already. I did get what I could though, and the 5-star for Orphan's second form is super easy. ----- Superstar (Unlocks Lightning's Theme)In case anyone wanted to add this to the guide or just use it as reference for the final boss (Orphan's second form), here's what I did: *Battle Team: Hope (leader), Lightning, Fang (i would've used Lightning as leader, but using Hope ensures you get the right enhancements). Use whichever party you think would work. I just thought this was the best due to Fang's strength for Commando, Hope's ability for Sygernist and Lightning's ability as Ravenger. *Paradigm Deck: -Maleviolence (RAV/SYN/RAV) [default] -Tri-Disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) -Relentless Assault (COM/RAV/RAV) -Aggression (COM/COM/RAV) 1. With the default paradigm as Maleviolence, have Hope give all part members Haste, Bravery and Faith while Lightning and Fang steadily drive up the chain gauge. 2. Switch to Tri-Disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) until the boss is staggered. 3. Switch to Relentless Assault upon staggering (COM/RAV/RAV) 4. Once the Stagger meter hits about 850% (830-860% works well), switch to Aggression. Hope will slowly but surely raise the stagger percent while Lightning and Fang go about dealing max damage on good hits. 5. Pray that it worked. The magic time limit seems to be 00:01:25 to 00:01:30. As long as it is within that time, and you're speed at inputting commands is relatively fast, you are guaranteed a 5-star battle. If things don't seem to be going right, or if you think you went past the minute and a half limit, don't hesitate to restart the battle. It's definitely better than having to fight Barthandelus and Orphan (first form) over again, even though both can be finished within 5 minutes. Last edited by Infinitez; 03-25-2012 at 03:57 AM. |

HUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I was missing the Titanium Bangle (crafty Square Enix, making it buyable only). Thank goodness, I was legitimately pissed off. I googled FF13 Treasure Hunter glitched and a topic that was started on this site no less led me to the Bangle. Last edited by Azeruth; 03-31-2012 at 01:04 AM. |

All Eidolon battles in FFXIII got some specific way to beat them. Just google it. Plenty of people who have gotten help beating it. I bet you need some sen and sabs, which people don't usually use, but are extremely useful against very strong enemies.

Paradigms: VANILLE - Saboteur /FANG - Saboteur VANILLE - Saboteur / FANG - Sentinel VANILLE - Medic / FANG - Sentinel VANILLE - Ravager / FANG - Commando Strategy: The De-Buffing Of Dual-Saboteurs Works Seriously Well In Raising The Gestalt Meter. After Roughly Two Rounds Of Head-On De-Buffing, Switch To Saboteur/Sentinel As Hecatoncheir Will Exact His Revenge With A Flurry Of Heinous Attacks. Straight After, Quickly Swap To Medic/Sentinel For Some Serious Healing, If Needed. Hecatoncheir Will Use Stages Of Charging And Attacking. During The Charging, Swap To Saboteur/Saboteur OR Ravager/Commando, As Both Work Pretty Well In Raising The Gestalt Meter, So Which You Use Makes No Difference, Really. When Hecatoncheir Starts Getting Rowdy And Attacks, Swap Back To Saboteur/Sentinel And Then Medic/Sentinel If Needed. Repeat This Process.

Thanks for all of the help! I got my platinum just now. I saved beating Orphan with 5 stars for my final trophy. It was pretty much the easiest final boss ever, after all of the other crap we had to go through lol. I love the ending to this game.
