The Silver Choboco strategy thing just wasn't working for me due to impatience lol Been trying to farm for all the Potent materials and stuff...... Then I just thought... screw this....

Just played a lot of Serendipity Poker from the Heads or Tails DLC and got 100,000 + Casino Chips. Then this morning just did the whole rubber band thing for the slot machines and left it while I went to work...

Came back 4 hours later, exited the slot machines and the Trophy pops up. Checked my Fragments and successfully acquired the Lucky Coin.

How much money did u start off with when rubberbanding the slut machines?
I think the amount ur holding also affects the final outcome.
Also is ur paradox fragment turned on when playing the slot machines? (for paradox endings)
Do you have the XIII save file in ur HD as well?
There are quiet afew parameters to take into account.
There is no way that the slot machine is programmed depending on luck.
Some ppl use the rubberband technique overnight , wake up the next day to have a ton of money while others wake up with 0 coins (me lol).

My very very first time on the slot machine (i think paradox was turned off) I played for under an hour and started with 2000 coins - came out with 11 000 coins so there must be something im doing wrong now.
Ill try it again over the weekend. (btw does the 10 000 coins achievement pop once u leave the slot machine? - does the 10 000 coin count reset to 0 if u leave the slot machine room?

I finally got the slot machine to payout. I had 20,000 coins and the status was "like a hot summer's day." I left it on over night which was about 7 hours. when I came back it had done about 15,000 spins and the total coinage was 60,000. Only hit the jackpot once and only 30 '7s' so maybe I just kept hitting loads of 3x chocobos.

This is such a fucking retarded minigame and easily the worst in Final Fantasy history. good luck to everyone else going for this.

20 000 coins is 200 000 gil right?
I was checking out clips on utube....this one guy got 50 000 within a 4 minute clip
how the hell do u catch that on film?
HOW DAMNIT!!!!
ill do everything else in the game and leave the slut machine for last....or choco races if i really really get bad luck

Coins can't be changed back into gil like gil can be changed into coins. You can however buy phoenix downs with you coins and sell them to Chocolina, that's the best way to get Gil out of coins.

I've seen those youtube videos and I know how they're done. There is a key item you get for having FFXIII trophies called Eternal Crystal or something, this increases your odds on the slot machines. People have hacked FFXIII-2 so that they have 10's of thousands if not millions of these key items, increasing their chances on the slot machine a million-fold...

I decided to race my silver choco.
After 3 races and 660 coins earned the trophy popped.
Either thats a glitch (im not complaining tho lol) or the coins i earned in the slot machines added up with the race earnings?

yup they add up, and I cant believe how much trouble the "lucky" coin fragment is causing people. It only took me like 15min + 2 jackpots to get it. Maybe luck does play a big factor in this

Yeah luck plays a big role in it. It took me about 6 hours to get the freaking fragment >.>. After that i swore that i'd never play slots again and got the serendipity trophy with my silver chocobo, it's really easy and it's a much more reliable method to obtain coins.

i got the fragment over a span of 3 hours
did the rubberband trick and went out to see a movie lol
i also have the XIII save file + "summer hot" + played manually and got nothing to show for it lol
