Which Final Fantasy game is best ?

Thanks to ps+ I recently got Final Fantasy V for free, (gutted I didn't buy the other old entry's when they was cutpriced) its really given me the bug to play more of the franchise. The only ones I had played before was on DS. Which ones on sony's consoles are the best ? or would people recommend playing them onward's !!!

P.S. kind of a shame ps3trophies doesn't have threads for ps1 & 2 games you can download.

I would have to say FFVII. It was one of my first ever games for my ps1.. And probably still my all time favourite game.

Definitely FF12 for PS2 - game of my life
For PSX FF9.

My favourite would be VIII, closely followed by X. Would both be my favourite if the last boss in X wasn't so damn pathetic. Worst last boss I can actually remember fighting... Though I don't really think you could call that battle a fight.

I would do that personally. Sure some aren't as good as others, but they are all still good or great games.

My favourite is VIII. It was also the first one i played. Followed by Crisis Core and VI. I hope they do a PSP or Vita remake for VI.
