Fast way to get Serendipitous trophy other than slot machines

I decided to give this a try and it really worked. I was able to get 7,000 in 30 minutes, 3,000 I already had from the slot machine which by the way was from 10,000 that I lost and I only saved it because I got the lucky coin fragment. So thank you.

Well after the best part of 40mins doing Races this trophy popped without any hassle, Silver Chocobo or bust~

Thanks for the info, OP, this was a lot less time consuming and a LOT more reliable than the slot machines. I tried the 4th strategy, keeping my chocobo in the back, but I had more luck with the 3rd strategy (stay in the middle and overtake later on) myself.

how is the golden chocobo at 45 lvl race in those? i heard it was better but i'm reading now it was silver :S

this slot machine fragment is bull..

ok here's the thing i have tried for 2 days now for about 4hrs and still nothing, the rubber band thing is not working.. i've made just about 7k on chocobo racing with the silver chocobo

i just hate that fact that its all bout luck for the slot machines.. i also noticed that i was getting moogle, chocobo, chocobo, when you press the buttons out of order.. :/


so any suggestions from you guys? i have about 11k but the trophy hasn't popped yet, maybe b/c i had 1k from exchanging tickets or something..so hopefully it didn't glitch.

i'm planning to do the rubber band thing again to see if i get the "elusive" ochu as well as the fragment

Slot machines are simply the worst Mini game so far in FF. They are made so that you can't make easy GIL except for some rare occasions like winning the lottery in real life. Getting the big Jackpot is 1/5000 tries, the odd are higher during Victory mode 1/250 and even higher during Super Victory mode 1/100, but to get this chain of events the math says that you will only get 1 out of 1.2 million tries, or 0.5 million if you enter Victory with a 777 or the best case scenario by entering Super Victory after a double 777 is 1 chance in 115,000. Those are the odds of getting 50,000GIL on the Slots.

I wouldn't even entered the slots hall if it wasn't for the fragment, wouldn't even looked at them. Stupid Enix. Its not like I want millions of GIL in 5 minutes. I can farm Yomi for almost 40k a piece, or 85,000 with the TPH included.

I guess i got lucky. I got 10000 coins and lucky coin in about 2-3 hours. Started with 7000 coins and after couple of hours i've got ~15000. Its pure luck i think. The most stupid thing in the game together with all those rift puzzles.

ok i was able to get the lucky coin fragment finally! i felt lucky then i tried the slots with 16k coins, then after 45 minutes of manual play i was in super victory mode and scored 777 4 times!

but honestly one of the worst mini games

If I lose 5,000 coins on slots and then win 10,000 in races will I still get serendipitous? Or will I need to win 15,000 in races?
