Ugh, PS3 keeps locking up and rebooting in OWC

Any others have this problem?

Most of my online play before had been regular fights (not OWC) but my last 2 fights, a week apart, were both really good fights and in Round 2 or 3, it freezes and then beeps and hard resets my PS3. My OWC experience had been fine before these 2 fights in a row now.

What could be causing this? It is killing my online experience and my record, level, and reliability ranking in the process.

I thought I had it corrected by signing out and back in as I had 3 good fights in a row and then in the 4th, boom, another 2nd round freeze and hard restart of my PS3!

If Legacy mode didn't freeze enough, but this is worse happening online and killing any shot I have at leveling up in OWC!

EA games are notorious for freezing - happens with FIFA also. Can only suggest you give the disc a clean. Very annoying.

This is late, but it's because your PS3 is overheating. If its on wood put it on top of something that is a little more less heat conductive. Also if its in a enclosed space it will overheat very fast as well. I used to have to play 2 matches then let it cool off for a hour or two. After I put it on a ventilated glass stand I can go about 10 matches in a row before it starts overheating.

Hey, thanks for the reply. That is crazy, what about FNC could make it overheat more than other games?? And how do you know it is heat related?

I have an model from launch and it is not enclosed, it just sits vertically on the carpet next to the TV stand and it lets out A LOT of heat, always has. But has generally run well for almost 7 years. Worst has been the reboots from FNC.
