FIFA 12 Trophy Guide and Roadmap

Introduction FIFA 12 is the latest instalment in EA Sports’ well known FIFA games, and it returns with more features than ever, including Impact Engine, Tactical Defending and Head to Head Seasons- a new online mode, and a range of improvements, making this game a must for fans of the series. As there are no real playthroughs, there are no missable trophies. Step 1: Quick and Easy trophies For the first step, you should get any quick or easy trophies out of the way in Kick Off. These include: Precision Tackler, Riding Bikes, Legendary, Don’t Blink, Comeback Kid, 10 v 11, Ruud Boy, Block Party, All my own Work, Warrior, Quickly Now!, Challenge Accepted and Sweet Music. Follow the guide to get these specific trophies. Step 2: Career This part will be split into two careers. Firstly, start a game as Malaga, hire a scout then sign a youth player for Youth is Served, then wait until the final day of the transfer window and sign a player rated 85 or over, for Procrastinator and Massive Signing. Then, start a new game as Barcelona or a different good team. When you can, do an interview for Puppet Master, then sim through the season, if everything goes right you should get Fully Formed and Trophy Time, if you win the title. Step 3: Online Next you should work on Online. For this step a boosting partner is required so find one in the Trophy Boosting Thread if you do not have one. You can complete the following in any order. You should complete a season in Head to Head, winning at least one game, to earn 3 Points and Campaign Complete. You also need to win a season of Online Friendlies, to unlock Being Social and Friends now enemies? You must also play in a Pro Game to get Virtual Debut. If the cup isn’t on by the time you complete the rest of online, go to the next step, but come back when it is on, and win a game to get Path to the Cup. Step 4: Ultimate Team When you first start Ultimate Team and make your club , you will get New Club in Town automatically. Win a friendly match then open a pack with your winnings to get Friendly, Legends start with victories and I’ll have that one. From then on, keep on winning tournaments, making sure you are playing one person all the time, to get Tournament Victory and We’ll need a larger trophy case. Save up money to buy players for Marquee Signing, Big Cup Squad and eventually Growing Club, while reaching 100 games with one player to get Club Legend. Finally, start selling players and buying packs to get Pack King and most likely How Great is That? Step 5: Clean Up You should still have the 50 hour trophy to go, so get any other trophies you do not have, such as Virtual Legend and EAS FC Starting XI. Trophy Guide  Football Legend  Unlock all other trophies (excluding additional content trophies) As all other games, complete all other disc-based trophies and this will be yours. The DLC trophies do not count. Congratulations!  Precision Tackler  Obtain a successful tackle percentage of 80% with a minimum of 5 tackles in a game This is one of the trophies you will most likely get randomly without trying. In a game you need to succeed in 80% of the standing tackles (  ) i.e. 4 out of every 5. Use standing tackles throughout the game, and only do one when you are 100% sure it will be successful. If you have 80% or better success rate in standing tackles with at least 5 of them, the trophy will pop at the end of the game. Megged  Successfully dribble the ball through a defender's legs It is most likely you will get this randomly without trying for it. If for some reason you don’t, use a second controller and do it that way. Dribble up to an opposing player and attempt to dribble the ball through the his legs. As I said however, you should get this randomly.  Riding Bikes Score with a bicycle kick Scoring bicycle kicks can be very difficult. To perform one, you must press shoot and hold down the flare button. ( and  ) while the ball is in mid air and above a striker who has his back to the goal. Alternatively you can do keepy-uppys (hold  and repeatedly press  ), flick the ball up (ls up, and slightly in the direction you are facing) then do it that way. A very easy method can be found here, where you change the ingame sliders to your advantage:Credit to DragsSTV  Legendary Win a game vs. the CPU on legendary difficulty against a club of the same or higher star level For this trophy you need to beat an opponent of the same level on the hardest difficulty, Legendary. If legendary is not for you, you can do this easily if you follow the settings in the video for ‘Riding Bikes’ You will be able to beat them with ease. Make sure the teams have the same star level before starting. You should have no trouble as they will be slow and the goalkeeper is extremely bad.  Don't Blink Score within the first 5 minutes of a game in a game vs. the CPU This trophy has to be done in the first 5 in-game minutes, not real minutes. To get this, start a kick off match using any teams. Use a 5 star team against a bad team to make this easier. I used Manchester United vs. Accrington. After kick-off, simply steal the ball, run towards their goal, and score with a finesse shot ( + ). You should score easily. This can be done on any difficulty, but I suggest you play on Amateur for ease. If you are really having trouble, extend the half times to 20 minutes each so the time until 5 in game minutes is longer. This is in-game time, not real time. Comeback Kid Win after being down 3 goals in the 2nd half in a game vs. the CPU For this and 10 vs. 11, score 3 own-goals in the first half and then get a player sent off. (Easy ways to get a player sent off include doing many bad tackles with one player, or tackling someone without the ball). Then, in the second half, score 4 or more goals and win the match. Both trophies should pop after. This has to be done on Semi-Pro or higher. If you are having problems coming from behind with 10 men, do these separately. Use an good team against a bad one to make this easier. You can also do this using the settings in Riding Bikes  10v11 Win from a draw or behind while down a man in a game vs. the CPU See Comeback Kid  Ruud Boy Score a goal on a volley To get this you must score a goal on a FULL volley, it must not bounce between the assist and the volley. An easy way to do this is to have 2 of their defenders against 2 of your strikers. Perform a lobbed through ball (  and  ) to get the ball over the defenders, and run forward with the second striker, and try to hit it on the volley before it bounces. If it goes in without bouncing, this will pop. You can also adjust the sliders to make this easier for you. Block party Manually block 5 shots while defending in a single game To block shots you must jockey around an attacker by holding down . When an opposing striker is around your penalty area, make sure to jockey so you are face to face with him, then when he shoots, you should block it. However, this is much easier with two controllers as you can choose the direction of your shot on the second controller, therefore blocking the shots with the main controller easier. After blocking 5 shots, this trophy will unlock in-game.  Century of goals Score 100 goals in FIFA 12 match play This will most likely come through playing normally, score 100 goals all together in match play for this. To see your progress, go to My FIFA 12- Fifa 12 profile- Profile Manager.  All my Own Work Win a Match with Manual Controls (including Tactical Defending) For this go to settings then controls then wireless controller settings, then set the settings to this:
 Warrior Score a goal after suffering a non-contact injury with a player In settings, go to user settings and changer your Injury Frequency Rate to 100, and turn down the injury severity. Then, run around the pitch for a while with one player and eventually you should get injured. This will be indicated by a cross sign by the players name. After you are injured go on to score and this will unlock. It will be more difficult due to the injury, but not too difficult.  Quickly Now! Score shortly after a quick throw-in A quick throw-in is one where it doesn’t go to a cutscene after the ball goes out, and a player will simply pick it up. Throw the ball and score quickly after, the trophy should pop. If not you weren’t quick enough, try again. If you are having trouble winning a quick throw in, use a 2nd controller and make it knock the ball out with one of your players close to it, you should do one.  EAS FC Youth Academy Reach level 5 in the EA SPORTS Football Club See EAS FC Starting 11  EAS FC Starting 11 Reach level 20 in the EA SPORTS Football Club In FIFA 12, you can gain XP in many ways, as long as you are online. To reach level 20 you need approximately 48000 XP. You are able to earn 2000xp a day, plus any XP earned from challenges, which can range from 200-1500xp. Doing actions such as winning online can get more xp, while you can get small amounts of XP from doing actions such as gaining virtual pro accomplishments, signing players on career mode and even starting up the game.  Challenge Accepted Complete an EA SPORTS Football Club Game Scenario Challenge From the main menu press  to get onto the EA SPORTS Football Club Menu. From there go down to ‘Challenges’. There is a challenge there which changes regularly to complete for Club XP and this trophy. Complete the scenario to receive this trophy. Thankfully, you can now choose the difficulty of challenges, so you should have no trouble. Path to the Cup Win a cup game in Head to Head seasons Every week or so, a cup window will open in Head to Head seasons. Go into the cup, and play and win a game. Unfortunately if you or your opponent disconnect, you will not the get the trophy (although you will advance), so try and keep the score down. After FINISHING and winning a cup match, you will get this trophy.  Campaign Complete Complete a Season in Head to Head Seasons A Head to Head season consists of 10 games of 6 minute halves, or until you get 10 points (Win=3 Draw=1) in the season. You can win, draw or lose all of your games (note you need to win at least one for 3 points). You can even quit if you wish. After you have played 10 games or accumulated 10 points, you will get the trophy.  Friends now Enemies? Win an Online Friendlies Season Online Friendlies are the same as Head to Head, but the season is instead played against a single friend. To win the league, you need at least 16 points, so a minimum of 6 games are needed. After the first game you will get Being Social, and when you have 16 points or you have played 10 games, the trophy will unlock. If you need a partner to do this with, see the Trophy Boosting Thread.  Being Social Play an Online Friendlies Match See Friends now Enemies?  3 Points Win an Season game in Head to Head seasons. For this trophy, you will need to win a game in Head to Head seasons. Self explanatory, but you must complete the game for this to unlock, so disconnects do not count.  Virtual Debut Play an online Pro Club or Pro Ranked match with your Virtual Pro For this, you need to get into and play a Pro Ranked match under the ’Virtual Pro’ section of the main menu. This is a game up to 11v11 consisting of mostly pros. You don’t even have to finish the match, the trophy will unlock as soon as you are in game, so there is no need to finish.  New Club in town Create your FIFA 12 Ultimate Team club Simple, just go into ultimate team, name you team and open your starter pack. The trophy should pop soon after.  Legends start with Victories Win a match with your FIFA 12 Ultimate Team club After creating a club, go into play now and then play a match, it doesn’t matter if it’s a tournament or not. (Although it will help towards Tournament victory) Just win the match and this trophy will pop.  Tournament Victory Win a tournament in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team In ultimate team, there are multiple tournaments. Win any for this trophy. The tournament consists of 4 games. The easiest is the Bronze one, as long as your team qualifies for it. Once you lift the trophy, this trophy will unlock.  I’ll have that one Open your first pack in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team If you played FIFA 11 Ultimate team before September 2011, you should have some free packs upon creating your team. Otherwise, after your first match (see Legends start with Victories), you should have enough for a bronze pack. (400 coins). If you don’t, play matches until you do, and when you do, go to store, bronze packs, then the first option. When you purchase it, the trophy should pop.  Friendly Finish a match against a Friend in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team In Ultimate Team, choose Friendly and invite a friend to the game. Simply finish the match, win or lose, and this will unlock. If you need someone to play with, use the Trophy Boosting Thread  Marquee Signing Purchase a Gold Player from the trade market for 15,000 or more coins using Buy now For this trophy, you need to have 15,000 coins. Search for a player you would like (better players will cost more) and purchase it through buy it now. However, if you do not want to lose your coins, you can boost it.. Either one of you need 15,000 or more coins. The one with the player needs to put any gold player on the market for 15,000 coins, and the one with the coins needs to buy it. Then simply reverse the process. Both of you get the trophy, and you both get to keep your items. For some money making tips, visit Rawra's thread here  Growing Club Achieve a club value of 85,000,000 in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team This is by far the most annoying and tedious trophy in the game. To get 85 million club value, you may need around 800-900 players. The best ways to get up the club value is to buy Bronze or Silver rares for 150 and 250-300 coins respectively. It is not advisable to buy too many expensive players, as they are not worth much towards your club value considering the price, which could be better spent on many bronze or silver players, 3 64 bronze rare players which cost 450 have more club value than an 88 rated player who could cost thousands. Staytrue1985 has made a spreadsheet detailing the club value of each rating card, which can be found here. After you have got the trophy, feel free to resell all the players you have so you can recoup some of the money you have spent.  ‘Big Cup’ Squad Enter an Ultimate Team tournament and finish a match with an overall squad rating of 85 or higher For this trophy, the players on your starting XI and sub bench on Ultimate Team need at least a 84.5 average for it to count as 85 rating. Therefore, the total rating needs to be 1521 or higher. Some 85 rated players will be relatively cheap, some will not, so you have to search around for some good prices. 84’s are easy to find cheap too and you don’t need all 85, so you should get a few of these. It doesn’t matter where you put the players either, and some positions will have cheaper players, so feel free to put some players a bit out of place. After the squad rating is 85 or higher, go into an ultimate team tournament and finish a match, win or lose.  Pack King  Open 100 packs in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team Packs can cost from 400-15000 coins, or you can buy some with real money. You need to buy 100 packs so the cheapest packs are advisable. However, packs are not the best deal unless you get insane luck and pull a player worth thousands, so it is best to get this trophy after the other Ultimate Team ones so you do not waste your money. You should also sell any unwanted items through trading so you can get more money to buy packs. Packs opened on the web app DO NOT count towards this total. Once you have opened 100 packs (there is no way to track this), the trophy will unlock.  We’ll need a larger trophy case Win your 10th trophy in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team For this trophy you need to win 10 ultimate team trophies, online, offline or both. These can be the same trophy 10 times, so pick one you can win easily such as the first two offline ones, and keep winning it. This will unlock after you lift your tenth trophy.  Trophy Time Win the league title in any league in Career Mode For this, choose a team that is likely to win the league. Alternatively you can either put a strong team in a worse league by pressing triangle when selecting leagues. Go through the season, simulating the easy games. But if you come up to another strong team, you should play the matches just in case. Always play the game if you are unsure. This will unlock at the end of a season, provided you win the title.  Procrastinator Sign a player on Deadline Day in the transfer window in Career Mode On career mode, when you are in a transfer window, simulate to the last day of the window indicated by a blue triangle, August and January 31st. These days are different from other days, The clock goes down by the hours if you press advance, and you can start and complete transfer deals quickly. At the start, put in a good bid for any transfer listed player, and it should get accepted. Give him a contract offer, and if he accepts finalize the deal and the trophy will pop. If you fail to sign anybody, wait until the next one, or start a new game  Fully Formed Have three players be in full form at the same time on your club in Career Mode When simulating games for Trophy time, this should come naturally and randomly when consistently winning games. If not, you should play a few games in a row, by scoring and assisting a lot of goals. To see what players are in full form go to Squad ranking and you'll see next to the players name their average rating in specific colors. The light green color means the player is in full form.  Massive Signing Sign a player better than anyone else on your club during the transfer window Go on career mode and look for a team with relatively bad players but a good amount of money. Malaga is the best choice as they have around 50 million to spend, but very few good players. Wait until the transfer window, and then search for players over the highest rating of your club within your price range, who are also transfer listed. Put in as much money as you can for him. If the offer is accepted, offer him a good contract he can’t refuse and he should accept it. Then just confirm the player, Once you get the email saying the player has packed his bags, the trophy should unlock. If you fail at any of the steps, buy a different player.  Youth is served Sign a player to your youth squad in Career Mode On a career, go to ‘youth academy’ and then scouting network. Hire any scout. Advance a few days so he can finish transit, then send him on a scouting network. After around a month you should get a scouting report on a couple of young players. Sign any of the players to your squad for this trophy.  Puppet Master Talk to the Press in Career Mode For this, start a new career mode as the manager of Manchester United. To talk to the press you will need to be before a big game. Simulate to one or two days before the Community Shield game against Manchester City, and click on the calendar where there is a red triangle. Say anything about anyone to unlock the trophy. Sweet Music Set up some Custom Audio in FIFA 12 Easy, make sure you have audio on your hard drive, then go to 'Customise FIFA' on the main menu. Scroll up to 'My music and chants' and go into that menu. Click 'My FIFA 12' then 'Arena and Menus'. Then choose whatever you like. The trophy should pop soon after applying the track.  Virtual Legend Play 50 Matches with your Virtual Pro If you make sure to play your virtual pro in all the games while going for the rest of the trophies when possible, this should eventually unlock. Your pro needs to play the full game for it to count. If you play on World Class, you can track this through accomplishments, otherwise you can't track it.  FIFA for Life Spend 50 hours on the pitch Self Explanatory, play 50 hours. This must be in-game. Unfortunately, Ultimate team does not count towards this trophy. Also, unless you play the full 50 hours there, Euro 2012 DLC does not count towards this either. If you don’t have this by the time you have the rest of trophies, either keep playing or set up games to run for 20 minute halves.  Happy 20th EA Sports! Score 20 match goals in FIFA 12 to celebrate 20 years of EA SPORTS! This trophy has been reported to be glitchy, as this may not unlock after your 20th goal. This has been reported to unlock after your 20th goal with your ‘favourite team’ chosen at the very start, so don’t worry if you don’t get it straight away. Keep scoring and you should get it, if you don’t, try scoring 20 in one game by using sliders and increasing the game time. Secret Trophies  No Draw for You! Score a 90th minute winner in a game vs. the CPU For this trophy, you need to be drawing until injury time in the second half. The clock should stay on 90 minutes. Then, run into the box and score a goal. If you are having trouble, or you doubt you can score a goal in time, you can use the sliders. You can also gain more injury time by knocking the ball out of play and committing fouls a lot. The trophy should pop after the game.  How Great is that? Find a team of the week player in an Ultimate Team pack This trophy no longer requires you to get a Team of the Week card (Black, or sometimes blue), but now can be obtained if you get a rare player who was transferred in real life in January. As you need a rare player, premium or jumbo packs of any packs are ideal. Due to the glitch, you should almost definitely get it by the time you open 100 packs. This of course will still unlock if you are lucky enough to get a black card.  Club Legend Play 100 matches with any player in FIFA 12 Ultimate Team For this trophy you need to play one hundred games with one player you have on Ultimate Team. This player needs to be obtained from a pack, you need to be the first ever owner. Make sure to put him on when you go after the 10 trophies, as you should have a good number of games with him after that. After that you can either keep playing (which is advisable to get more coins) or quit games until you have 99 games with him, and then play the last game. The trophy should pop after. I'm challenging the guide that is on the site already, IMO, and no offence to the previous guide's writers, some of the trophy descriptions were not detailed enough, especially Ultimate Team, even though it is one of the most annoying parts.
