A quick question for the Mods and Admin

I just wanted to ask why, when a user get's banned they don't have all or the majority of their posts deleted ?

All of their posts they ever created on the site? What if a banned member submitted many useful and sticked guides? Should we remove them?

That's why I also the majority of the posts, of course if they actually created something useful then it should stay.

I was specifically thinking of the minor posts e.g. "I love this game" or any posts that were locked because the user was being an ass etc.


I never intended any offence with this thread or to tell anyone their job I was just curious as to why some posts weren't binned when a user gets the boot.

This. It'd also make a lot of threads confusing.

Not to mention that it's a very rare thing that someone gets perma-banned. So should someone with, say, 1500 posts get the reset because they got into a fight with someone and earned a 1 day ban?

As a rule, we really only try to delete posts when they're overly offensive or if a thread continues to get derailed. There's no benefit to deleting a person's posts just because they're gone if they don't fit into those two scenarios.

Ahh, nice to see it happening to others as well

But yeah, like they all said... If all they posted was spam/insults/flaming, theres a good chance they were deleted, but if not and they have a substantial amount of posts, than it's just a needless time waster to go through them all and delete which ones we feel aren't needed and not when we could be using that time for more important things.
