Quick help embedding youtube videos

I am in the middle of posting a trophy guide and need help quickly.

Basically I am copying and pasting the URL of the youtube video onto my post. 'Automatically Parse Links in Text' and 'Automatically embed Media' are both on.

However of the 4 links I have posted, 2 have embedded and 2 are showing up as normal links. This is the weird thing. Same process every time but only 50% have embedded correctly.

I have had a look at ShadowStrife's quick guide but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

The feature embedded part is on the wrong side of the url. Use one of the following:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLeaqg0RLZQ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLeaqg0RLZQ&feature=player_embedded

I just couldn't understand why doing the exact same thing every time yielded different results. Why are the URL codes in different orders in different videos anyway? It's as is they do things like this on purpose to annoy people

Youtube does something to certain videos (usually official ones) so they won't embed like video, only as link.
But if you find a different link on youtube to the same video, it usually embeds fine as video.

I'm still afraid I don't follow, I too have 'Automatically Parse Links in Text' and 'Automatically embed Media' both on....0/8 worked.

I just got my HD PVR and been uploading them to YouTube, would love them to work with my Prototype 2 thread as I have some amazing times and scores -> Radnet Platinum Medals: Scores, Times, & Strategies

EDIT: Nevermind, Seems when I'm on youtube I must click share -> options -> and click the box that says 'long link', than copy and paste that on the forum..annoying, but all's well that ends well!

All I do is go onto the youtube video and paste the URL into the forums, that's it. It then appears embedded.

That doesn't always work. YouTube can display the link to a single video differently in your browser URL bar, depending on how you accessed the video to begin with and several other factors. If it has the word featured or embedded in the URL, you may run into the problem the OP has depending on the location of that part in the link address, as Shadow pointed out.
