Default Quick Question

I'm working on the 10,000 Damage trophies, and to make it a bit faster I need 3 things -

Best Meele Weapon
Best Energy Weapon
Best Explosive Weapon

Does anyone know what these are? Or at least something pretty powerful. Locations too please. I'll give you all the buttsecks if you help.

It's personal preference but the best damage wise (NOT DPS) are:

Best Melee Weapon: Chainsaw/Thermic Lance. (I'd recommend a Super Sledge)
Best Energy Weapon: Gauss Rifle. (I'd recommend this, Gatling Laser; Heavy Incinerator or Tri-beam Laser Rifle)
Best Explosive Weapon: Fat Man (I wouldn't use that mind you! Try Missle Launcher or Grenade Rifle/Machinegun/Launcher)

Locations: Various, try Black Mountain if you haven't already defeated the Super Mutants for melee and explosive. The Brotherhood of Steel has some great energy weapons. Failing that purchase what you need off Van Graffs/Gun Runners. Wait 3 in-game days and inventories restock.

For the explosives damage go visist the Deathclaws in the quarry...

I've only encountered Deathclaws early in my game (around lvl 15).

I'm now 35, but my character has 100 Melee and average Gun, Energy and Exsplosive (between 30 and 60).

Wont they still pose a problem? I know they're harder than FO3.

You do realize that there is no level 35, right? There is a level cap at 30 for us PS3 players.

I got it on 360, but guys on that forum are mostly elitist snobs. At least here people are a little more grown up.

I do own a PS3 though

I apologise for the Deathclaws but, for me at least, killing Deathclaws was a quick way of getting the 10 000 Damage for Energy Weapons. Just use stealth, keep your distance and blast away - I used Annabelle (the unique Missle Launcher) with High Explosive and High Velocity rounds. Took out the whole quarry (take the rear entrance by the Great Khans!) primarily with that weapon and around 50 skill in Energy Weapons.

If they got too close I brought out my trusty Sniper Rifle to finish them off (I'm a sniper at heart but works well close-up due to high damage!)

I was able to get the energy weapons trophy (around 9000 damage) solely using the Deathclaws in the quarry.

Obviously there are other strategies but that was mine - was quite fun too because hadn't been to the quarry prior to that.

I would lower the game diffuculty to very easy. You will deal out alot more damage and your still receive the same ammount of XP regardless of difficulty level, Different from FO3

Yes, but enemies have far less HP dont they? And do less damage making the 10,000 stimpacks and food pretty tough to get.

Do the Deathclaws respawn at all? If so, how long does it take?
