Default Pick up Ultimate Edition or Download DLC?

I already own New Vegas, have done since it was released. In the summer I plan on finishing all the things I didn't do in the game and various other games. I was originally planning on downloading the DLC from the PS Store. However, after working it out I'm not sure I want to pay a total of £35 for DLC, when its out on disc format in the Ultimate Edition for £20.

My question is, is it better to download them from the store due to the disc version being glitchy as I have read many times, or is it really over-exaggerated and only as bad as NV was when it was initially released? Cos I could do with saving £15.

The UE works out much cheaper so just get that. It doesn't matter if you get the UE or buy the DLCs separately as once your save hits 10mb, then stability goes out the window as the freezing is an inherent flaw in the ancient engine that both FO games are made with.

The best thing you can do is use the cache clear code:

Hold L2, R2 and Square after the trophies load and the anti-file corruption message disappears and keep holding them until the main menu appears. You will know if it's worked as the "Fallout" and "Press Start" text will disappear.

This will keep some of the freezing at bay but ultimately there is little you can do to stop it.

Thumbs up differences

I have the normal disc and the UE, never touched the downloaded version of anything related to NV.

I can say both disc versions are equal when talking about lags, freezing etc.

Also, you can get UE and sell your normal version, saves 15 bucks and dig up a little more

Disc versions are nice cause you can change/sell/lend and get more games with them after playing and they don't get stuck in your HDD.

Sweet guys. Gonna grab myself a copy of the UE. I checked my gamesave and its currently only 5000kb at level 19 on hardcore mode. Hope I'll be able to platinum this like I did F3.

Thanks again

Default nope

Nope, it seens to work just on Bethesda games, i heard people don't use it too much in Skyrim because it's minor the leak of memory.
