My save is 12 mb, should I start a new game?

I can't play lonesome road because i freeze within 3 minutes of playing. Would starting a new file be a good idea and i planned to buy the other dlc with the challenges.

Once your save reaches 10mb, it's all downhill from there stability wise . With the exception of Dead Money and the Couriers Stash, all the DLCs have frozen on me 3+ times. Once the chronic freezing starts, all you can do is delete everything and start again .

Because of how crap the Gamebryo engine is, it leaks memory like a sieve and the more DLC you add to it the worse the freezing gets.

I see i really just wanna get 100%maybe i'll delete all the dlc and try again with only what i need

You will have to start a new game in that case else your saves will corrupt if you try to load them sans the DLC.

wait.. are you saying that i cannot let my save be 10mb+ if i want to play all the dlcs with no problem?

That's right, after 10mb you can kiss what little stability you have goodbye . You can try the Cache Clear Code though do note after 10mb it has little effect :

Hold L2, R2 and Square after the trophies load and the anti-file corruption message disappears and keep holding them until the main menu appears. You will know if it's worked as the "Fallout" and "Press Start" text will disappear.

There is very little you can do to stop your save from growing as literally everything you say and do, adds to it.

i dont have any dlcs installed or downloaded right now, will it still affect my stability if the save were to get above 10mb?

it shouldn't be to bad but the dlcs are a real test of patience and i cant handle the last one cant take 3 steps in it

Didi'nt know of 10mb non-freezing limit, came back to NV to get other trophies and start doing the DLC after that.

i saw in other thread that to complete DLC without problems its good to have lvl 20+ char, some1 very nerd said, can't remember who...

So if i play till lvl 20 then my save would be very fat cause it keeps everything you did. This is too bad.

There's a research/test about what kind of info stored increase more the save? Locations found, speech tests, enemies' corpses, keep what you sold on the merchant list to rebuy...idk ???

When i did harcore speed run in about 2h my save got 4-5mb with just speech, locations and a few other things (bah, everybody here read already the guide about it), so i'm lost now...
