Did anybody ever find this?

Firelance - The Fallout wiki - Fallout: New Vegas and more

It's a alien gun. Much like the Alien Blaster, except a lot more powerful.

The way you get it is from a random encounter where a alien ship flies above you or near you, and blows up. And it drops this gun and ammo. And the encounter is extremely hard to encounter. The hardest encounter in FO3 and one of the hardest in the entire franchise. The gun itself is a one hit kill on any creature on any body part. Undoubtedly, the strongest gun in the game.

I played 3 playthroughs of FO3. On my 3rd playthrough (With my overall best character) my system bugged out. I heard the explosion and my controller vibrated. But while looking around I saw nothing. And then I never was able to get the Firelance. That was my once and only chance to get it and the damn game messed up . I was pretty upset to say the least.

But did anybody else ever get this gun?

Me Got it on one of my 4 playthroughs. Not sure which though. Very bad ass gun.

I've spent months trying to find this and never once found it .

it is a random event and you need a high luck to have it happen, sadly i didnt ever get it either

I got this and it was pretty awesome killing everything in 1 shot. Only downfall to it was the damage rate was so high you needed to constantly repeair it. The ammo was hard come by also. It did help me through the Mothership Zeta dlc with ease also along with the other alien guns.

I found it realy early in the game a raider in front of the super duper market had it on her

The exact same thing happen to me on my first playthrough. She almost killed me with it.

Yea I got it on my first playthrough. Did not realize the power of it at first, but once I started to use it it became one of my favorite weapons.

The only gun even close to that one that i remember getting is the alien blaster from the crashed ship but i never saw the ship crash

Good thing I read this post
I was near the flooded metro and picked up all the alien cells.
I didn't realize anything till I read this post!!! I went back and pickes the firelance!!!
