Does Azielle fancy you if you play as a male? Aziel keeps telling me that he's never known anyone like me and he'd follow me wherever, it's bugging me to shit and another reason I got rid.

You are playing as the female main character right? That is why. Yes when you play as a male she fancies you and the same as if you played as a female main character in your case.

Now I understand why in my game the name came up as aziel and not azielle when I was playing as a male.

I guess it's a case of schrodinger's player charater Schrodinger's Player Character - Television Tropes & Idioms where the character you don't pick is the first companion you get, It's actually better that way. Though some guys would probably have played through as a female just to see the girl hitting on a girl lol

I think the Azielle/Aziel character thing will be more apparent in future chapters. Game constantly says "Azielle loves you a little more" and at one point she started to ask me something, but I wasn't in the mood and decided to be a dick so I have no idea what would have happened otherwise. Oh well.

I hope there is some repercussion to that, bring some replayability to the game that way. I went the other route and found out what happens if you wasn't a dick about it.

I agree, and the game implies that it does with the final save file. I'm thinking about putting another quarter up and being an asshole this time through. The final choice clearly defines your path for the later chapters though.

ps: you beat me to 100% by only a few hours

Game tells you every character 'loves you a bit more' constantly, it's not limited to Aziel, (you have to be rude to Amarata to get her to like you)

I don't think the lines for Aziel have been changed from Azielle's, he just said "hey there handsome" to me, that sounds like a girls line in a guys mouth.

All the companion characters ask you the same question if they spend long enough tagging along with you (3 of mine have - Bert, Amarata and Aziel), so I don't think that's got anything to do with the romantic subplot.

At some point before I completed the last world, a mini cutscene between the main character and Aziel/azielle will happen and they will get into a convo about how she/he admires the main character and how it will lead into a I love you. you can either choose love or friends, where it goes from there I don't know.

Again I'm with you there. I think they intentionally left out the conclusion for later chapters.
To the spoiler: I'm pretty sure thats the cutscene I screwed up, cause I never got that option. Curious how that plays into things.
