Qualifying: DRS'd in my normal spot, spun crashed. 13th it is.
Race: GREAT start for once, got to 6th after sector one but stevo nearly spun, holding Balding up, i tried to go round the outside, but lost my wing. STOP 1. I was 20 seconds behind everyone, catching at 2 seconds a lap to Threnzy. (although, primes and lean) long story short, i was fastest every lap pretty much, catching up to everyone, doing 4 stops (2 more than most) and finishing 4th. Only 15 seconds of 2nd. I believe that it was a contender for drive of the season. ![]() My fastest lap of the race was on primes. Jesus Christ ![]() I'll also let Balding off AGAIN for taking me out. As it wasnt exactly his fault, but he still could use the arrows he gets.

Race So I did O O P was much more consistent and for some strange reason I could just eek out the Options better so did 8 laps on them... My start I had Warlord beaten then my car just randomely spun, I don't know why and caused a mini pile up... Had a great battle with Rob and Pagey towards the end - managed to hold rob off for about 6 laps despite him being within a 1 second... Great driving Rob!! Then I think he must of spun with Pagey on the last lap then Pagey overtook me in the highspeed corner which I went wide on... Also is it fair that Warlord gets to score points? Because I think its abit random he joined and plus it cost Rob a point... Next Race Is it Korea?? if so its one of my strongests, might have to go for pole ![]() Also this race has not been recorded, it said it had failed - shame as it was good at the end.... |

Q: Did a single lap on primes. My second sector isn't too bad, and my third was one of the quicker ones I think, but my first sector is just horrendous.
I tried another lap at the end but spun out and lost my wing on a wall (I think that's probably what obstructed Stevo, so sorry about that (I didn't even think debris had any effect in the game)). Qualified in P10 at the bottom of everyone who went out, so I essentially wasted a set of tyres. R: Straight off the line Ketch was spun around just ahead of me so I had to swerve off the track to avoid him and whoever else was involved; to my surprise, I didn't receive an illegal overtake penalty, as usually happens. Quite a few others went off during the first lap and I think I was up to P6 at one point. As I was focusing on gearing (I was using manual for the first time in this league) I don't think I was paying any attention to my tyre wear and I spun out just as I was due for my first stop. I lost a few places there and lost even more while in the pits; however, lots of people pitted on the following lap so I regained quite a few and got back up into P9. Now I was chasing Warlord I think, but I was all over the place and went off into the gravel at the first of those two right-handers. This put me all the way down to last. I undercut a group of people in the pits once again but lost the places again while I was pitting later, so I was basically just chasing Ketch and Pagey for the rest of the race. I went to rich fuel to try and gain some ground but with the manual gears my fuel conservation was terrible so I was quickly into -2 laps. So I switched back to mix 2 but after my final stop for options I was still on -1 lap, so I was forced to complete the final 10 or so laps in mix 1. Despite this, I managed to gain a lot of time on Ketch and just after Threnzy lapped us, I was right on his gearbox on the massive back straight so I stayed behind him through the chicane in order to get the DRS. When he said "I've been holding Rob off for two laps", he meant "I've been ramming Rob off for two laps" ...and I hope he was recording it. He was going along the middle of the track down the pit straight, so I took the inside/racing line and started to make my pass with the DRS. However he decided to run me straight off onto the grass. I was right on his gearbox for the next few laps, even though I was in mix 1, but he was weaving all over the road and whenever I tried to make a pass he swiped me. I'll need to see the video to be more specific, but there were at least two occasions where he ran me off. I bumped him in the back a few times so I apologise for that, but I don't think I ever messed him up. At this point I was in don't-give-a-fuck mode and ended up spinning out. So now I was last by about 10 seconds with just one or two laps to go. I almost decided to drive straight into a wall but I figured that would call a safety car, which wouldn't be fair. Probably my worst drive, including my DNFs, and definitely my worst result. I would have accepted finishing where I started but clearly I was denied that. To be honest, I should have had 9th. Might not turn up now until Brazil. Last edited by Robaldinio; 03-25-2012 at 07:30 PM. |

QUALI: After my first run I was 3rd with a 1:28:6 on Primes and went into the garage to watch the other times. Stevo then went ahead of me by under a tenth. So I decided to go out again to try and regain 3rd on a new set of Primes. I put in a very good lap in the 1:27s and couldn't believe it when I was in Pole! Unfortunately, Threnzy had gone out to cover Jamie and took Pole with an unbeatable lap in the 1:26s. Threnzy 1 - LL 0 RACE: I maintained 2nd into the first corner with Jamie right behind me. From then to my surprise I started to open a gap to the cars behind who were making mistakes and squabbling with each other. Threnzy wasn't flying away either. By lap 3 he was 1.1 ahead so I couldn't get the DRS. After a few more laps he started to increase the gap as he is so good on his tyres, whilst mine were already going by lap 4 or 5 (primes!). From then on I was kinda isolated. The only contact I had with other cars was with those on 2 stop strategies. After my first stop I came out behind Balding, and after my second stop I came out behind Stevo. But because of the tyre conditions, I could pass both pretty easily. Unfortunately though this ruined my chances of setting a FL as my first laps on options were spent trying to pass people. So threnzy ended up with the FL. Threnzy 2 - 0 LL I also managed to lap Rob in the final laps. In the end, Threnzy ended up a good 25 seconds ahead of me. Threnzy 3 - 0 LL. I was a good time ahead of Stevo and Q and the rest though. All in all, really happy with 2nd. Bring on Korea

For it mathematically impossible for Balding to win the championship:
Threnzy - Balding 3rd - 1st 7th - 2nd 9th - 3rd Anywhere - 4th or below. Threnzy has pretty much won the championship next race.

qualified 4th
race- decent start but i gt slightly hit on t1 which meant i lost a little control but recained but then i went in the gravel at the end of the s's which meant i went from 4th-6th. when bulk and jamie went wide i gt bak to fourth and closed the gap on kyle by about a second as he had to brake hard nd i never. i was all over him and then i slipstreamed him on the start of lap3. from then on it was about deciding whether to do 2/3 stops. when i did my second stop balding nd Q were ahead. i knew balding had to pit but wasnt sure about Q so i thought 3rd was out the window until i saw Q go into the gravel b4 the straight leading into 130R. he pitted which released me into 3rd. 1 lap later i gt 2nd due to LL's stop. i held him up for 1 or 2 laps but bcos he was faster nd had fresher tyres, it was a matter of time b4 he overtook me. 2 stops definately worked 4 me. even though i did 7 laps on prime (what i started on) then 10 laps on option and then 10 laps on prime happy with 3rd. i like korea but i wouldnt say im amazingly quick

Wow, doubt I could stay on the track with Primes for that long.
Will be doing some practice tomorrow night on Korea, to try initial set-ups and re-learn the track.

Ive got to be honest here. I have hardly slept last night after my disconnection. Might give virgin a call later because I don't know if it is just a coincidence, but last week there was a virgin media van parked outside my house and now all of a sudden ive had 2 disconnections within a week.
