How to alter simulation options (penalties, flags and so on)?

I received a promo copy of the game so I don't have a game manual annoyingly. For a few trophies in one of the guides on this site it tells you to turn simulation options on or off but I can't seem to find the screen to do that.

From the Grand Prix menu I select a Team, then a Driver. In the Race Settings screen it only allows me to change the Participation Level, Race Distance, Difficulty Level, Weather Setting and Safety Car (if Difficulty is set to Hard or above). After that all you can do is select a Track.

Help!

From memory I think you Press X on Difficulty Level to expand into further Options, like Damage, Flags e.t.c.

I know this is an old thread but I still felt I should thank you as you just stopped me from destroying my handset in frustration lol
