Achievements vs Trophies

Trophies because I don't have an Xbox and never have :L but they don't sound as good since you don't get a reward for getting all trophies/achievements from a game.

That's true, and it's not as impressive when you show it off to your friends. The gamerscore system sucks too, you can have a high gamerscore but have shit achievements like 10G for doing a tutorial on hundreds of games.

I dont think XBOX even appreciate achievements theirselves.

It's no where near as good as trophies.

Bronze/Silver/Gold or 10/50/100 (whatever it is lol)

I know what I'd prefer - trophies all day long!

I've had my 360 since launch, I would save my Xbox before my PS3 if there was a fire..but I like trophies more. Mainly because of the platinum trophy(I also like the the % complete next to the game)

you dont get platinums or anything with xbox.

and you cant see how you got the achivement after you've gotten it. it just comes with a stupid description

Trophies.

+ All those trivial 0, 5, 10 point achievements are equal value Bronzes
+ Platinum for completing everything in the 'base' game
+++ 'BASE' game ; so when DLC hits, you don't lose your Platinum...
+ Don't have to be connected to Xbox Live / Internet for a date stamp
+++ PS3 Trophies have a DATE AND TIME stamp, not just date

Lastly, while it's a little odd at times, I really love the idea of "leveling up" / "ranking up" and it showing the percentage you need to the next. On 360, you just basically value increments of 1000 - and that's that...

i agree with @muzykalscorpio. Before i got my vita i had only had a xbox360 so i had no idea what a platnuim meant or the leveling up system. But since i got my vita i have been loving the leveling system, its so much more thrilling to see that i am 76% away from level 7 as oppsed to seeing that i am 120GS away from 25000 on my xbox.

I would never give a sh*t for collecting trophies if it was some kind of pointsystem like xbox .

Anyways playing on a 360 is one of the 8 deadly sins. just so you know...

Trophies, for sure.

You don't have a platinum "achievement", and you can't, for example, show your acomplishments to friends separately. Specially those really hard as Beat Zico or Warhawj Supreme Achievement.

I've owned an Xbox far longer than a PS3, so right now, I would say achievements. Those platinum trophies are awfully nice to look at though...
