I finished "The Black Star" quest and during the final fight the LAG was absoutly the worst I've seen in this game since the patches, it felt like them times when I was playing Fallout 3 GOTY edition and did the Operation Alaska mission that was the same almost crippled LAG

Welcome to the club, soon your whole game will be like that.. At least mine was for about 20hrs of game time.
Dragon fights caused the biggest problems for me and the civil war fights.

I thought the latest patch was supposed to fix major lag issues? o_O
I haven't touched the game since I Platinum'ed it, because I've mainly just been busy playing other games. I have yet to install the newest patch, but are you saying this is still as much of an issue as it was before? :[

The upcoming 1.05 patch is meant to further fix any lag and freezing issues

I probably won't be doing a replay anytime soon, so who knows, maybe by then (major) lag won't be an issue anymore. Heh, I don't remember. But considering I did everything related to trophy requirements on the same playthrough, it's probably quite a large file.

My save file is about 9-10MB and before the large update it was lag city, now I only seem to get a little lag chug when the game is autosaving or is still loading details in the background (or foreground as I found at the secret entrance to the thieves guild)
Something I noticed that can help reduce lag is waiting for 3-4 weeks ingame time. (I know that sounds like a long time but if your like me and have far far far too much crap stored up going to the thieves guild and selling the stuff to the 4 shops and the fence down there then waiting 2 days, rinse and repeat) The time flys by, but what this also means is that anything you have touched or moved from its original location will be "reset to game default" and be removed from your save data. For example if you go to a dungeon and run over the tables kicking things all over the place etc your game "saves" this information, so add this up over 50+ dungeons can become quite alot of data. Hope that helps anyone with huuuuge save files. Last edited by KivE; 03-28-2012 at 09:37 AM. |

My game lagged no matter where I was if I played for too long. It would still lag here & there at random times in general but the longer I played at one time, the more lag there was. I'm finally done with this glitchfest though so oh well.
