The game is alright, but only that... I feel like they got too lazy to give every character a different move set. Move sets are based on the weapon they wield. And are too short to boot. It needs more and longer combos. Hopefully now with the merger with Techmo they will learn a thing or two from the Ninja gods.

I actually remember playing DW3 and being able to pull off infinite combos (i.e. the 4 hit combo). I really miss that, it was always an easy way to get enemies to drop health when playing on hard.

I think this game is pretty good. Dynasty Warriors has been a stale franchise (even though I still play it religiously). I like a lot of the ideas here. If they would just put together all of their great ideas (awakenings and huge siege bosses from this one, renbu from DW6, townbuilding and independent questing from DW5:XL, a world map and the base battles from DW5: Empires), they would have a helluva game on their hands.
As it is, though, it provides plenty of hours of mindless fun.
