I would have to say Dynasty Warriors 2, because that is the game that got me into gaming. I probably spent a good 200+ hours playing that. Dynasty Warriors 5 was also pretty good.
Best 2 in the series IMO.

My first game in the franchise was 5 one fateful Christmas, just had a blast playing it and since I only have 5 and 7 the pure extent of the Story mode just gives 5 my plaudits. However Conquest mode might tip the scales the other way.

I think 7 is the best so far. XL is good but it's just like a giant expansion.

I've only played DW6, DW5:E and DW6:E and would probably rank them in the following order: DW5:E > DW6:E > DW6.

I despised DW6. I had just come from the other warriors series and found it abysmal in comparison.

id say dynasty warriors 4 cuz i was really afraid of lu bu in 4 he was pretty much god like character in 4 then after 4 it was easy in 5,6 and 7 they need to make lu bu more stronger cz now when he appears in battlefield he doenst scare me anymore unlike 4 where you die in an istant
