Whne you defeat a general, they drop a item of predetermined quality, such as ATK, DEF or Health of some amount. By hitting that general with a combo of attcks, just consective ones- does not have to incude any specific attacks mind you, you can raise the value of that drop. This only works on ATK and DEF thugh, so you will lose this bonus if the general drops a health... the combo needed is 8 attacks or more, and the general must die during that combo sequence.
So here is how to do it. Start any stage but preferebily an easy one. I used the Arena battle myself as the generals come to you nice and easy, but any stage will work just fine. Play on beginner if you want, to make it real easy. Save once the stage is started. Run to any general, hit them with whatever ttacks you need to get their life bar close to depleted. On beginner with any decent weapon, you can probably kill them with one combo mind you. Do a combo that can be easily linked, like the C5 one. this is ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() , and that attack for every weapon is a pop up attack that sends the general into the air...awaiting another combo. Just do that combo twice, or any follow-up attack that hits for 4 times, and you have 8 hits. You will know if you are doing it right, as there is a combo meter on teh bottom of the screen telling you how many hits you have done in a row. If you have 8 combo hits, the item teh general drops will double in strength, so a +1 becomes a +2. Life/health does not do this mind you... If you get a succesful item, iterim sve. If you do not, reload last save. Next, run to next general and repeat the process. Abuse the sve feature. Save every time you do teh right thng, reload if you make any mistakes. You need to do this combo item enhancment 5 times in a row (reloading is okay) to get the trophy. Some items make this a lot easier mind you. If yu have any DW7 DLC, the bombs and great axe easilly hit for more thna 8 attacks with just their normal attacks,or any charge attack thrown in. The sword is an easy to use percise tool for the pop-up attack. The halbred has some great combos that hit any times built into it. I think one of the easiest is the steel fan. It shots a small wind projectile from it with every attack, including the pop-up which is some green ball of energy. This makes it better in that you can hit enemies much easier from further away, so if you have trouble conecting hits, this weapon helps to easily close the gap. Good luck, hope that helps.

There is one small caveat that I did not add in the guide because it was a bit longer to explain than was really necessary, but I can do it here.
if the general normally drops a +1 item, then you need an 8 or higher combo to increase that to a +2. If he drops a +2, then you need 16 hits to get it to a +4. I forget if the next stage is 24 or 32 hits to upgrade to a +8 though, but it caps at +8. Basically, just keep comboing generals after they die. There is no way to know if you got the upgraded drop or not, but assuming you always have a 32 or higher hit combo on the general when his body fades, you should be ok. Many weapons are capable of easy repeated combos - if the general is already dead, you could simply spam ![]() over and over if you don't know your weapon set well, for example.
