I'm over half way with my 2nd playthrough done and more then likely I won't give this game anything higher then a 5 and thats pushing it. All this game is, is time consuming. None of the trophies are hard to get at all. It's an easy platinum. I will probably end up giving this game a 4.

Just because it takes a lot of time doesn't make it difficult. In the end the game is easy and it just takes time. Which eventually if everyone wanted the platinum they would be able to get it. With some games though, it may be a lot shorter then other games, but the trophies and maybe if they have difficulty trophies, might prove to hard for them to actually get themselves. That would rate it higher because not everyone would be able to get the platinum for that particular game.

ok, i'm confused.

can you save at certain points, and then re-load to get the stories done with out having to playthrough so many times?

if so isn't that really cutting the time down ?

Technically, you could, but it wouldn't save you any time. In fact, it would make going platinum take longer.

You have to get to level 20 with your main character once as a mage, once as a warrior, and once as a rogue. And by the time you're at level 20, you're about 98% of the way through the game anyway. Which basically means you've gotta do 3 full playthroughs one way or the other.

So basically, there's no real reason to save and re-load, since you'll have to do the same thing two more times anyway in the other playthroughs. In fact, going the "save and reload" route actually makes it take longer to get the platinum, since you'd be doing the same parts 4-5 times instead of just 3.

No game is difficult if you put enough practice time in to get really good at it. For that reason, time consuming and difficult are the same thing for me.

I have to vote the game a 4. It's not hard at all, it just takes a bit of time to platinum it. It is an easy platinum though if you have some spare time to do so.

The key difference is that difficult platinum games require you to learn and master the game to get the trophies whereas this game (from what people are saying) just requires you to put time in to play the game. There is a difference between practice time and playing time.

I don't know why this is even a discussion. The rules of the thread clearly say that time should not be a factor in your decision.

Does the DLC trophies appear on the main list if you've only just bought the game and haven't downloaded the contect or any patches?

Thanks

This one is hard to rate. I gave it a 6. It's not really difficult but very time consuming. As doing each origin story and getting three different characters to level 20 will definitely take a good amount of time.

I have to chime in here, despite not actually playing the game yet (damn Christmas mail!). Theratis said it best already. At the end of the day, difficulty is merely a measure of the time spent in the game, and from what I'm seeing here... most of you lot rating this low 1-5's are doing so because it's easy, despite taking a good 100+ hours to Platinum.

It is a touchy subject with these platinum difficulty ratings, since it is very debatable as to what it all entails; there are definitely a few things to take into account, but just a single number rating to sum it all up. However, they shouldn't be misleading. To come here and see a rating of 4, I'd expect an easy Platinum. If I'm then sat grinding it away for up to 150 hours, I consider that misinformation at the very least.

I totally agree with you and I just got this game from Gamefly. I just played GI Joe Rise of Cobra which is rated a 4. Is everyone trying to say that this game is the equivilant of that which can get a platinum in 20 hours and it is easy as well???

I am enjoying the game and won't vote just yet, but if it is as long as people are saying I think maybe a 6 is needed. Some people really don't like spending 100+ hours on a video game but I guess I do since I got the GTAIV one
