*** A NOTE TO THE MODERATORS *** Due to my lack of readily available access to a computer on a daily basis it make take between a week or two to completely describe the details needed to acquire all the trophies within the game. I would greatly appreciate it if you kept this particular thread open at least until I am ready to submit this as a full guide through the designated section of the forum. - kensredemption - *** END NOTE *** ![]() Dragon Age II Trophy Guide & Road Map by kensredemption and associates Estimated difficulty: 8.5/10 Offline trophies:
Estimated time to platinum: 40-80 Hours. Minimum number of play-throughs needed: 3 (1 full, 1 partial, 1 minuscule) Missable Trophies: Those of the Mage/Templar faction, relationship, armor upgrading, crafting and hidden encounters tier. Glitched Trophies: None. Do cheats disable trophies?: No. At the moment there is only the glitch for infinite money and experience which does trigger trophies (See below). Does Difficulty affect trophies?: No difficulty trophies applicable. Road Map Briefing The sequel to the 2009 game of the year, Dragon Age II...blah, blah, blah. I know you don't care about me being sycophantic to BioWare for making another installment for this franchise so I'll spare you the details. You're here because you want the platinum, yes? So listen up, and listen good. If you want to get this platinum in the least amount of time possible, you're going to want to take your time. I put absolute emphasis on this because there is a LOT you can miss simply because you were wanting to rush through the game. Just for your information, Dragon Age II handles very much like it's Origins predecessor - Each party can be comprised of four members, there are potential relationships to be pursued with party members, and once again the world is in peril and you must save it from the brink of utter destruction...at least, to a degree. The only difference between II and Origins is that skill trees have been simplified and instead of the original approval/disapproval system there is now the friendship/rivalry system which I will go about in-depth later on. Now, on to the main event: The First Few Playthroughs... Note: If you don't have a save game to import into Dragon Age II, you're going to be out of luck when it comes to getting the Epic trophy on your first playthrough which requires that you do and play through the game once. This'll come with time either way, and because of the amount of time you're going to invest into getting the platinum for this game, getting the Epic trophy will be the least of your concerns. For your first playthrough you're going to want to complete the game as you normally would: Wading through questlines, tackling ethereal bosses, etc. if this is your absolute first time playing an RPG. Get a feel for when and where you will need to make key choices in the game that will unlock the corresponding trophies: - A Worthy Rival - Arcane Defender - Mage Hunter - Crowning Glory More details will be divulged to you as you look on ahead through the guide that I'm preparing for you, so don't fret. You'll have multiple opportunities to unlock them, especially because the Arcane Defender and Mage Hunter trophies will require you to play through Dragon Age II multiple times anyway. It is most likely that you won't be able to get both Arcane Defender and Mage Hunter on the same playthrough, though if you can remember the key moments that will determine which one you unlocked the first time, just make the opposite choice the next time around. e.g. If you side with the Mages the first time, side with the Templars the next. Attaining these story-related missable trophies is a breeze compared to what follows afterwards... "I'm sensing more {trophies}!!" I'll be elaborating on these trophies below, but there is an obscene amount of side-quest related trophies that are absolutely missable if you go straight for the storyline. A lot of these involve hunting for scrolls and demons, completing herb gathering and making your companions happy (and maybe some: Your lover(s)). Believe me when I say you're going to need the utmost patience and obsessive-compulsiveness when you're going for these - it'll save you so much frustration rather than playing through this the seven times that I did. With that said, I'll be holding your hand and walking you through every single trophy in-game so long as the administrators allow this thread to remain open. Best of luck, kensredemption Last edited by kensredemption; 03-17-2011 at 02:47 AM. |

Legendary ![]() Reached Level 20. So long as the leveling glitch hasn't been patched yet, you should be able to get this very early on in Act I. Once you are able to freely travel the Free Marches, head to Darktown (Day or night doesn't matter) and pick up the Remains of Sister Plinth in the southeast corner of the map next to the NPC named Danzig. Head to the Chantry through Hightown in the day and save before you turn in the quest. This next step is important: Make sure you draw your weapon in front of the NPC first and foremost. At the very instant you sheath it, turn in the quest and keep spamming the button to continue gaining experience until you've felt you've done enough (Or at least enough to unlock Legendary). After all, you can go up to as high as 50 I believe. I myself haven't gone further than 35 to spare myself the risk of my game freezing. Talented ![]() Upgraded a spell or talent. The Exiled Prince DLC Trophies Retribution ![]() Dealt with the mercenaries that killed the Vael family. ('The Exiled Prince' downloadable content) Complete Sebastian's first Companion quest "Duty" during Act I to unlock this trophy. It's very, very, very straightforward. Avenged ![]() Confronted the culprit behind the Vael family's murder. ('The Exiled Prince' downloadable content) Complete Sebastian's second companion quest "Repentance" during Act II. Again, like Retribution, just go in, kill everything that moves (Well, almost everything) and the trophy is yours. Memento ![]() Gave Sebastian a family heirloom. ('The Exiled Prince' downloadable content) You'll find the Starkhaven bow for Sebastian in the basement before the second half of the dungeon during "Repentance" in Act II. It's very hard to miss. Just pick up the bow and give it to him after you finish the quest and the trophy is yours. Cloak and Dagger ![]() Met secretly with the agent of the Divine. ('The Exiled Prince' downloadable content) Sebastian's final companion quest "Faith" becomes available during Act III. I swear, if I have to say the same thing again I'll blow my head off...just...do the quest. It's...very...simple. ![]() Loyalty of the Prince ![]() Earned either a friendship or rivalry with Sebastian. ('The Exiled Prince' downloadable content) Considering how Sebastian is a goody-two shoes, modest mouse from the start: You'll want to be a goody-two shoes yourself if you want to earn his friendship. Conversely, if you want to antagonize him (Maker knows I wanted to try...) then just be more like Isabela and be as amoral as possible whenever he's in your party. Either way, if you max out either extreme: This trophy will unlock for you. Last edited by kensredemption; 03-17-2011 at 02:22 AM. |
