I liked it too. Lent more originality to the companion's style. It's not like you were left behind not being able to equip other stuff really. The upgrades for each worked well imo.

It's a matter of personal preferences and likes, so my opinion is purely subjective:
I liked DA:O more, mostly because I played it first and it set high standards. I loved it, I couldn't wait to progress the story, plus all the locations were magnificent and the characters really intresting. DA:O and DA:2 are different. I liked them both, if you ask me about my favourite though, that would definitely be the first one. |

i played Origins first, but not long, I couldnt get into it so I put it down. Gamefly sent me DA2 when I actually forgot it was on my list. I decided to try it out and ended up LOVING it. I liked the faster paced combat and it seemed a lot more refined. Reminds me a lot of Mass Effect 1 compared to Mass Effect 2.

![]() I personally liked DA:O a bit more, but DA II was still a lot of fun to play. I liked the combat system way more in II, but liked the story and character progression in Origins more.

i quite agree with that statement. you wind up dieing way to often since by this time you have no healing items and the last fight is really irritating. then again Dragon age II is not much better with healing items since you have them but they also have the thirty second cool down, which always seems to screw you over in the end.
