Question Renegade or normal version?

I'm definitely getting this game, having been a huge GH/RB fan for years and loving music games in general.

What I'm considering is whether to buy renegade or not. I'm sure there are not many of you who have testet both, but if you have, is the renegade more solid, stable etc than the normal version? And how's the stand vs a normal table/your lap? Are there any other reasons to go for renegade?

The huge extra price tag is what concerns me, is it worth it? The Eminem/Jay-Z discs also appeal to me, any good?

Thanks in advance

I bought the normal version. I believe that the Renegade version's turntable is the same as the normal one but painted in black and gold. I've played on the Renegade version at my local Best Buy and it felt the same as the normal version.

I've been using the normal turntable on my lap and it's been pretty good so far.

I read somewhere that the stand for the Renegade version was a bit wobbly.

As for the CD, I'm sure you can find online somewhere. ::shrug::

I wouldn't shell out the extra $70 unless you were a collector or something.

Thanks for the advice

Seems like I'll be going for the normal version then, not that big a collector

Have to wait 3 days 'till it comes by mail, seems like forever :/

I'm with darkeva93 on this one, the regular is pretty much the same as the renegade edition, it's not worth the extra 70 dollars

Yeah, I bought the Renegade edition and it really isn't worth it unless you just wanna blow an extra 80 dollars.

I quite dislike playing with it in my lap - somewhat glad I got renegade. Necessary? definitely not.

Got my normal edition DJ Hero today, and I agree with you, it is a bit to unsteady for my liking to play with it on my lap. Playing with it on my table is great though, LOVE the game. I suck at blue scratches though, guess I'll get better with practise

I got the special edition, just because "Dance" music is all I listen to so this was a perfect game for me, I was so excited i wanted the highest thing in came in, plus what really sold me was the case turning into a table. B/c theres no table in my room for it, so it worked perfectly!

I snagged the Renegade edition and I am glad I did.

--The case is great for dragging this game to parties and such.

--The table is nice for some stand up playing, or sitting and having a table.

--I like the coloration of the Renegade Turntable better

--I read somewhere that the Renegade turntable is made with metal components rather than plastic, and it does feel more sturdy to me, especially the Fader.

--The CD is really just a collection of Eminem and Jay-Z's greatest hits. Ok if you are a fan.

Its hit and miss, depends on who you are and what you will be using it for. Overall, I am glad that I got it though.
