Your method for duping?

I'm going for the senate dupe trick once I get 5 more items with Stats on them... can anyone who does this tell me ~how long it takes to get a Nay when you have 6 senate members? Or am I gonna be forced to use a friend to do some kind of co-op dupe trick? Heard a lot about being able to dupe items efficiently when you hold a business meeting with a friend... or something.

I've read that it's easier with a friend that has their senator set to "idol". Although I have the puppy paw stick, I have nothing but garbage equipment and no subdued innocents, so I have no reason to start duplicating anything yet. The information is all over the place though, so even if I were starting, like you I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. That's the one bad thing about having a game right away. Most information you might want on it can be unreliable. Hopefully soon someone will have a reliable guide up.

I'm also using the Camp-paign trick by bringing out one of my members with the item wanting to dupe.

Getting your senator to NAY is quite frustrating. There are other ways to improve the chances of NAY, but the small percentage of actually stealing the item anyway seems like the bigger problem.

I duped 2 times in about 15 minutes at first, then I went 3 hours with nothing. It's a crap shoot, but spending 3 hours to get 9 lvl300 statitians is better than reverse pirating for 30+ hours to get them.

Don't forget you can also dupe in the Chara World. If you haven't dived in there yet, now will be the best time. Just go and expand your evil symbols, learn the last skills of weapons and do whatever you need to do anyway(for the platinum). Even if eventually you'll only get 3 or 4 dupes you still saved yourselves some time and frustration.

As for me, I haven't started duping yet. Still working on my lv300 Testament(it wasn't planned but I was already around lv200 on floor 80) and I want another 1-2 maxed out statistician before I start. But when I do, I will probably go to the Chara World first unless a better way/trick will be discovered.

Can someone explain this duping for me a little bit better? I'm not following these methods. By the way this is my first Disgaea game I've actually played. I have 3 but haven't really played it yet.

The Chara World method is simple. It's very similar to the duping method of D3:

1) Get the PPS.
2) Unlock Chara World by storing over 99 levels while reincarnating(can be done with multiple reincarnations)
3) Get an item worth duping.
4) Get innocents worth duping.
5) Transfer those innocents to that item.
6) SAVE
7) Go to the Chara World, equip the character you're going inside of(>_>) with that item, and only that item.
8) Try to destroy as many floor panels on each floor(spam AoE special attacks and chain-kill geo blocks) and hope that a clone(Heart Construct) will spawn.
9) Cross your fingers, kill it with the PPS and hope you'll steal that item.

If no clones spawned(you want to get 1-2 each run) or you you didn't manage to dupe - quit, reload and try again. Or just go for another run with that character or another.

The Senate Duping method is a bit more complicated and since I haven't tried it myself yet I'll let someone else explain it.

OK, now I have anither question. Sorry for so many. I kow what the innocents are but, how do you get them. I see the bonuses on the weapons. Are they the monsters in IW that attack the enemy and not you?

Yes, if u kill em in the item world you can subdue em, and transfer em out. You can get new ones by reverse pirating into a level 20/40/60/80/100 item-

1st) Beat a Pirate crew in item world.
2nd) Pass the Pirate Bill in the Senate
This will grant you a galleon ship
3rd) Reverse Pirate an item, in there you'll have to lift an innocent, chest or level sphere and drop it back to the ship.

I also highly recommend you to read this: Guide to Get a Level 19998 Innocent Early Game. You'll be able to get a few maxed out innocents without too much trouble.

Thanks for the input. I've been doing the 6 member senate glitch for a while now and I've been making pretty good progress I think (about 10 dupes in 3 hours). I'm hoping it's not getting fixed in the patch though...?
