Anyone is free to link to this in guides or whatever. Let me know if you find this helpful! (And yes the linked videos are on xbox, but it's the same game on both system, and I dont mention system specific controls.)
Platinum Performance Achieve Platinum medals in all of the DC Challenges This is a list of all the DC Challenges, and each challenge is linked to a YouTube video of that challenge completed on Platinum, with tips and tricks on completing them easily. I recommend leaving the challenges for last when you have the most experience with the game, allowing you to pass many of them in only a few tries, without much frustration. All videos use default set-up, so you will not need to tune your car, although it may help in certain cases. Good Luck! You can also visit THIS YouTube playlist that lists all DC Challenges in alphabetical order. Season 1: Drift Showcase 01 Drift Showcase 02 (Showcase Drifter) Gymkhana Academy Tutorials 1-5 Season 2: Smash Attack 01 (No-bot Wars) Gymkhana Sprint 01 (Perfect Sprint) Speedrun 01 Gymkhana Attack 01 Season 3: Smash Attack 02 Gymkhana Sprint 02 Speedrun 02 Bobsleigh Challenge (Cool Running) Season 4: Gymkhana Sprint 03 Smash Attack 03 Gymkhana Sprint 04 Speedrun 03 Speedrun 04 World Tour: Drift Showcase 03 Gymkhana Attack 02 Drift Showcase 04 Gymkhana Attack 03 Speedrun 05 Smash Attack 04 Assuming you get all platinum medals on the challenges, you will also get the following trophies: DC Challenger Complete all of the DC Challenges DC Silver Achieve Silver medals in all of the DC Challenges DC Gold Achieve Gold medals in all of the DC Challenges Last edited by Maka; 06-15-2011 at 03:38 PM. |

"All videos use default set-up, so you will not need to tune your car, although it may help in certain cases." I used only default set-ups because I didn't want to make things more confusing for achievement hunters than they already are. But to answer your question(s) directly, abs shouldn't make a difference in any of the tutorials, although I would suggest keeping it on. Tricksteer, I would also keep on, although it only really helps with donuts/spins. |

For the drift tutorial, I did tricksteer and abs off, custom vehicle setup (less downforce, more differential, more brake bias, stiffer suspension etc) and I switched from automatic to manual. All you have to do is shift up to second gear right at the start and keep it there for the whole run (this helps you maintain a good speed, not too fast and not too slow).
I did that setup and got the challenge after 3 or 4 attempts. Before used this setup, I tried for hours but could just not do it. Great idea, this will be helpful to many people, but why don't you embed the videos?

I want something nice and neat, where you can find the specific challenge that you're looking for. If more people came here, and said they don't like the hyperlinks, and want it all embedded, I can always change it. As for Drift, you can do it normally, or change your set-up. I wanted my videos all on default set-ups, so that's what I did. |
