Servers Closed, When?

When the servers will be closed? My friend says its this summer...

October 2011 for NA. I'm not sure about the EU servers though.

why would they close them so early? the game is popular and the sequel's release is not in sight yet.

anyway, online is not required for platinum, but is making trading possible.

The server's been extended. But they can extend it again. This has been done a couple times already when they announced an extension.

So just cause you hear about a server being until a certain date doesn't mean Atlus will immediately close servers after that date.

G'day gents. Can someone tell me if online is required to Plat this one? I finally plucked up the courage to pop Demon's Souls in yesterday and after a couple of restarts and a dead Phalanx I'm absolutely loving it. The learning curve is off the charts and with so much info out there I can't quite work out if there's a PvP bit you need to complete to Plat. Trying to work out if no servers means no Plat.

Sorry if this question has been asked 100 times. I've never encountered a game with so much (and often conflicting) information and background reading.

You do not need to be online in order to get platinum.

It makes it easier, but you can do it on your own.
