Unlockable Special In Game Outfits

Here is some quick notes on the locations of Special in Game Outfits that you can find

Special Outfits

Unlike Dead Rising 2 all parts of the outfits must be worn to gain the bonuses!

Soldier Outfit

Special ability - Double ammo with most Guns, Increased shooting accuracy, More firepower and increased headshot accuracy and Frank will also have a new special attack when using automatic weapons, spraying zombies with a hail of bullets

1. Soldier Boots - Located in a box in the vacant store to the right of the Ultimate Playhouse at South Plaza's west end.

2. Soldier Clothes - Unlocked by completing the "Save the Girl... Again" Achievement in Story Mode or after defeating Sgt Boykin in Sandbox Mode, Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

3. Soldier Facepaint - Located in Shank's in the Palisades Mall on a bust to the right of the entrance.

4. Night Vision Goggles - Purchase in the Platinum Strip Pawnshop.

Psychopath Outfit

Special Ability - Increased attacks and damage from the following weapons = Pitchfork, Power Drill, Chef Knife, Machete, Crowbar, Large Wrench, Cement Saw, Chainsaw, Mining Pick and the Meat Cleaver. Special Attacks with The Meat Cleaver, Mining Pick, and Machete as well as Reduced Damage.

1. Psychopath Boots - Located in the Security Room in the Fortune City Arena.

2. Psychopath Clothes - Unlocked after defeating Carl, in Sandbox Mode or in Story Mode's Mail order zombrex event, Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

3. Psychopath Mask - Located in the Wedding Chapel on the Silver Strip (can also be obtained in Sandbox Mode).

4. Psychopath Hair - Unlocked after watching the Timeshare movie in the Paradise Platinum Screens in the Platinum Strip, Show time 12PM - 2AM, Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

Ninja Outfit

Special ability - Extra Stealth While wearing the outfit Frank is nearly undetectable to standard zombies. Also a new attack is unlocked with the following weapons = Katana Sword, Magician Sword, Broadsword, Laser Sword and Stacked throwing items such as Nails, Plates, Gems, CDs, etc. will also do more damage and Franks’s throwing speed is increased.

1. Ninja Boots - located in the Man's Sport store in the Uranus Zone.

2. Ninja Clothes - Unlocked by Completing the "Elite Killer" Achievement, by killing 1337 zombies in Story or Sandbox Mode, Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

3. Ninja Hood - Located in Royal Flush plaza in the room around the balloon with dynamite that you have to climb up on the phone booth and then jump up a level and grab the window flower planter, and its the large open room to the right, it used to house the sniper rifle in Dead rising 2 with chuck.

4. Ninja Mask - Found in the Yucatan Casino, oposite the main doors to the Shoal Nightclub on a Mannequin that is behind the coat desk.

Sports Fan Outfit

Special ability's - Increased Power for All Sports Weapons, A Unique Attack with the football, Better Health Recovery with all food and drinks, Permanent Alcohol Tolerance Frank will no longer get sick from drinking to much Increased Gambling Winnings and a running speed increase.

1. Cleats - Located in SporTrance the Royal Flush Plaza, It is found on the ground floor of the store, on top of the shoe shelves.

2. Sports Fan Clothes - Located in KokoNutz Sports Town in the Palisades Mall, It is found on the ground floor of the store, on a round clothes rack.

3. Sports Fan Facepaint - Located at the end of the hidden path in the Americana Casino, go to burger joint and go upstairs, jump on the hanging lamps at the end of that its on a box it looks like spray-paint.

4. Sports Fan Helmet - Hidden in the back room of Hot Excitorama on the Silver Strip, hanging on a clothes rack.

ProtoMan Outfit

Special ability - extra defense, Just like in MegaMan As Protoman fire damaging energy blasts from arm cannon! -to reload Arm cannon visit the safe house! lockers and re-equip.

1. Protoman Boots - Located in the Ultimate Playhouse in the Palisades Mall, They are next to a bunch of servbot heads.

2. Protoman Armor - Unlocked by completing the "Challenge Experience" Achievement by getting a Bronze Medal in all Single Player Challenges in Sandbox Mode, Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

3. Protoman Blaster and Shield - Unlocked by completing the "Save the Girl... Yet Again" Achievement in Story Mode.

4. Protoman Helmet - Beat Jack at Strip Poker in the Ante Up Mission, or Defeat him in Sandbox Mode. Jack is found around Fortune City Arena's Security Room, he shows up randomly like most Survivors in Sandbox Mode. Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

Other Unlockable Outfits

Dealer Outfit - Found in the Yucatan Casino's Reception's back room where you would find Lenny in Story Mode (can also be obtained in Sandbox Mode).

Champion Jacket - Found in the Fortune City Arena store Terror Togs in the glass front counter (can also be obtained in Sandbox Mode).

Tattered Clothes - Unlocked by completing the "Party Time" achievement in Story Mode by getting a survivor drunk, Once unlocked it is found in Safe House.

Willamette Mall Security Uniform - Unlocked by completing the "Maintaining The City" Achievement by visiting 10 different Maintenance Rooms in Story Mode or Sandbox Mode.

Of course, if you look at his gamer cards, you'll notice he's playing DR2OTR on the 360 rather than the PS3, so it's not exactly unreasonable for him to be thinking in those terms...

Thanks alot for this. I just got the game yesterday and i heard all the DLC costumes from DR2 were unlockable in this but i didin't know how. I thought maybe they unlocked with the story but i did find the Proto man feet and army face camo when messing around in Sandbox. Going to hunt Jack down in Sandbox as im useless at Poker... Although i did manage to get the Arthur helmet from him in DR2.

I have been reading you need to finish the game with ending 'S' to get Protoman armor, is it confirmed you only need to do the challenges?

Well I beat the game with an S and didn't have the Armour went back and did the challenges in Sandbox got at least a bronze on each and unlocked the armour so I would say yes it is through the challenges
