Question How do I get Strongarm?

I've been trying to get Strongarm but I can't seem to manage it. Part of the problem is that I don't know if it's glitched or if I'm just not far enough away when I let fly with the weapons. Civilians getting in my line of fire is another problem, as on my most recent attempt, I lined up on a couple of guards but a civilian got in my line of fire. Very annoying. Anyway, I'm trying to get as far away from my target as I can without losing the lock, but it doesn't seem to be working, not to mention the fact that sometimes when I throw a long weapon, it doesn't actually hit the guy I'm locked onto, like it bounced off him or something.

Can anyone help me figure out how to know when I'm at the required range for this trophy, maybe some good spots to do it, as well? Also, do you have to do all 3 weapon types in one play session or can you do 2, then quit the game and do the last weapon? Also, please no videos unless they include either a good location to do it or an example of how to mark out the required 10 meter range. The video on the trophy guide wasn't really all that helpful to me.

Pick a group of guards and walk away from them until you cannot target them anymore. Then inch back closer to them until you just can lock onto them again... that should be far away enough to meet the trophy requirements: it's how I did it.

In theory, locking on and then walking away as far as you can without losing the lock should work, too, but the method above is a little easier.

I'd suggest trying to get the trophy in one play session, by the way, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks much. I followed your advice and got the trophy with ease. I Probably coulda gotten it even faster if I'd used a smoke bomb first and then threw a weapon at a guard from the same group, instead of saving the smoke bomb for last. Guess I was overcomplicating it by trying to get maximum range before letting fly when I just needed to do it from the farthest point where I could still establish a lock.
