Default Should I buy this when I start the main game?

It seems since some of the DLC trophies can be earned in the main game, it might be worth getting it when I first start up the main game, which I will when it arrives in a day or two. Or should I just save my money until I've completed the main game and the MP? Are there any real advantages to having the DLC from the start?

You can buy it right away if you want and you could possibly unlock some of the trophies as you're going along. But, I'd suggest holding off on playing the DLC mission until after you finish Sequence 4 at the earliest (due to the story). Really though, it doesn't matter.

Thanks for info. So after sequence 4, would it even make sense to play through the story of the Da Vinci DLC at that point as that's where it fits in the timeline, or is it best to wait until finishing the main story to avoid spoilers?

There will be some continuity problems either way. I'd suggest you simply play the game with the DLC active and get all the DLC-related trophies you are able to get during your regular playthrough... and then keep the actual DLC story (and the specific trophies) until after you finished the main game.
