Grenades!?!?!?

Apologies if I am being thick here but I am surely not the only person to ask or wonder about this!
I have collected C4 and can throw and blow it up no worries but I am currently on the 14th chapter and I still havent had one hand grenade yet I go past grenade ammunition crates all the time and it says ammo full. I think it only fills up ammo for equipment you have got hence where do I get hand grenades from and I pressume I just push right on the D-pad to select them but surely to get to the 14th chapter with out any means I am missing something simple (I could be very stupid - not to be ruled out)???? Any help would be greatly appreciated

You have to double tap triangle to pull out a grenade. I know, I think it's awkward too.

I just have to comment on this thread because I didn't have a clue how to use grenades. I had played so much of the game, both singleplayer and multiplayer; eventually someone told me that I had to double tap triangle. It's not that bad; just a bit different from the usual one tap of a button to equip them.

i actually enjoy the double tap. its probably the only thing that i love about this game. while it doesn't prevent grenade spamming, it limits it in multiplayer imo. i like how it needs to be equipped with one button and thrown with another button.

cod's one-button grenade is.........sigh

Its good to hear you say that buddy I felt a bit stupid when I found out but I didn't think it was that obvious either!!
