Cool My tips for the final courtyard area on Negotiator on Veteran

*You will come to the courtyard area after fighting guys that drop from a chopper and the small area with the turret gun you can use*

**REMEMBER during Breach sequences, baddies drop with 1 SHOT... No need to keep shooting. 1 bullet per guy does the trick even on Veteran**

1 - Do the Breach to get into the courtyard

2 - Shoot baddies in this order:

- guy that drops down right in front of you

- guy straight ahead of you

- another guy straight ahead of you in the distance a little bit (kinda hard to see because the bastard blends in with the debris in the background)

- then the guy coming at you to your left

- after the breaching slo-mo, there will be two that run down the stairs past the hostage hanging in the middle above the bomb console a little bit towards your left side

3 - After that, I quickly ran forward, threw a flashbang to give me some time, then ducked in a hallway to the left after the courtyard.

4 - Here you can camp a bit and kill the 15 or so baddies that spawn... Most will peek around the corner near you are at, but a few seem to run across the way towards the entrance where you came in.

You can kill these guys by simply waiting for them to pop up behind the short walls they hide behind. To your left when you come walking out, there are guys that always hide behind a stack of 2x4's that pop up when you think the coast is clear...

I was pretty methodicial and killed them by just taking my time.

5 - After that you should have killed everybody that spawns from the two similar staircases near the end.

6 - Simply walk up, do the final breach, and kill the baddies in any order you want... Going from left to right worked for me and there were only 3 in there.

With that final breach done, MISSION COMPLETE.

Hope that helps

If anybody was wondering what weapons they should grab, after the first breach room I switched from the AK I took from the captors in the beginning, and grabbed the G36C, and switched the Desert Eagle for the M4A1.

I used the G36C for 95% of the mission, but used the M4A1 for the final courtyard area and the final breach.

The G36C should be sufficient, but in that courtyard area the M4A1's default zoom with the iron sights is better than that of the G36C with Red Dot.

Biggest reason I grabbed the G36C is because the baddies use it in the mission, so you never run out of ammo... plus, the red dot is very helpful.

After the breach, shoot the 5 guys, defuse the bomb, then go back to the entrance down to the stair, stay here and shoot the guys coming at you , if you're hit, stay behing the wall on the right, EASY PEASY

Actually, you don't have to defuse the bomb since you don't have to worry about the hostages when doing the Veteran run

Yeah, also, avoiding using the turret would not help you in veteran as they will merc you before you even get to it. At least I wouldn't recommend using it. Just my 2 cents

Yup took me 11min I just took my time did it on my third try. One of the easiest spec op missions in all of the game without a doubt.

Best weapons for this mission are G36C with red dot and MP5. I pretty much use G36C all the time. The only time I used the MP5 was the three enemies in front the door around the beginning. And make sure both are always fully reloaded because you don't want to reload them during a battle, just switch weapons.

The last part, easy..

After you breach, shoot the five guys (remember to hit the guy all the way at the back as well). Quickly run to the bomb and defuse and immediately after defusing it, throw a flash bang towards the stairs area and make a run to either the right or left bottom corner of the courtyard (I prefer the right first, then I eventually make my way to the left to make sure area is clear).

Just pick out the guys there slowly.

You'll probably get a better reception in this forum: Content Collection #1 - PS3Trophies.org

Other than that, good tips!

I am having a helluva time in the courtyard. I can make it to the second last breach scene easy, but I always lose one after that no matter which direction I go. It feels kind of random at times too.

On one occasion I made it to the final breach, but the hostage's head was in the way (on the left) and I lost one . Very frustrating . Using the G3C6 and M4A1, but G3 mainly.

Edit: PowerPYx's vid where you just flash and run up the stairs to final reach is working wonders! I'll get it eventually with some luck. As said, it's kind of random in the courtyard. I'll either lose one in final breach or just after the passing the bomb defuse.
