With Rapunzel, if you're playing in a New Game+, you aren't limited to 3 plays a night. You have infinite credits to get through the game. So I'm going to start playing Rapunzel heavily after I beat the game once.

Gonna reserve my score for later, but what everyone has said so far is exactly how I feel. I started on Easy Mode, so now I'm doing Normal to clear up Chaos Karma on Story Mode and to prepare myself for Hard Mode. I've been using Youtube guides to help score gold on the levels, but I'm not sure how that will factor in Night 9 when things go crazy. Also finished the first 64 stages of Rapunzel, but those are only time consuming more than anything.
The only real challenge to me is Babel. It's intense, addictive and tests my patience. Oddly, I love it. I've spent maybe over 7+ hours on Altar with zero success (131 is my highest step score so far) and yet that won't stop me to keep trying

Already have 39/50 trophies and they were not hard at all. I played the story twice (on Normal for both times), first time I did what I wanted to do and my meter was Blue by the end of the final day. I saved before the last stage and that was smart as getting a chunk of the 'view all ending' trophies will be easily obtained doing this. My second playthrough was my cleanup playthrough, I already knew what to do and didn't even use a guide for any of the levels on Normal. I knew what I did wrong did right, and my meter was Red this time. Again I saved before the very last stage and cleaned up the 'view all endings' trophy. Now I am going for my third playthrough on hard but I've got to say:
Learning techniques is helpful, following trails of money at least on Normal are a good way to figure out where you need to go, if you lose your steps undo until you gain them back, and grabbing onto ledges would be a smart choice. A lot of the time solving the puzzles don't require a great deal of thinking, I've found that the solution is much easier. As for Rapunzel once you finish the 1st playthrough, the 2nd playthrough gives you UNLIMITED free play so it makes it A LOT easier to retry if you fail. Which is why I would say its a 7-8 difficulty rating on average but it depends on the person as well. xD |

Well I have reached my jurisdiction about this game's difficulty. Played it for quite a while and realized that some of the trophies are very possible, even golding hard trophies BUT...just one trophy has swayed my decision in its favor. "A God is Born" would have to be a nearly impossible trophy to obtain. Although Babel is randomized, certain familiar block segments appear making a distinct pattern within. Axis Mundi on the other hand requires a intense concentration and a blessed cognitive approach all while beating the falling block timer. The first few step instantly made me drop my controller and walk away while never turning back. I'm still trying to overcome Obelisk but no luck yet. My rating for this is a most definite 10/10
BTW unless your the top 200 worldwide that actually beat the puzzle via leaderboards, I would reconsider rating this below 9.

Just got the Platinum for this about two days ago. All in all, Rapunzel and Babel are going to pose huge problems for most players that want a challenge. But there's always answers out there on Youtube for Rapunzel's 128 levels.
Babel, I felt like was taken down another notch for me..Only because playing Co-Op seems to make it incredibly easier. Took me and friend 2 tries to clear Axis Mundi where it took me about 10 tries just to make it past 40 steps. |

I'm getting a little irked about people citing youtube. Yes, you can copy what others did, but internalizing the techniques is part of the fun.
Hard mode and Babel are challenging, daunting even, but overall it can be done. 7 out of 10, maybe 8 out of 10. |

Mehnhir is fun once u know the techniques Obelisk is annoying and frustrating... Axismundi is borderline impossible. Best record is 40 steps. How the hell can u get past the checkered blocks? Looking at youtube playthrough for axismundi and either the japanese game has way different block drops on that stage or these ppl hit retry until they get a good beggining layout. |

I've confirmed that Babel in Pair is both easier and grants trophies. Did Altar and Menhir and both have just around 30% fewer steps than their single counterparts. Also, it would seem that the stages are wider than they are in single.

You know, I understand that it's a good thing for the trophy whore in all of us, but I'm a little angry that the Bable trophies unlock in co-op where it's super easy.
I don't know why that bothers me. I guess it's just because I want to have a legit uber difficult platinum. |
