Default -Sigh- Trophies have ruined this game.

As I sit here trying to complete stage 9 on hard with a gold I find myself not only bored but coming to the realization that I haven't had ANY fun since I've beaten this game, The game itself is excellent and I love(d) it. But now it's getting to the point where the events that have occurred are beyond my control and inevitably kill me.
I consider myself to be good at the game and I am usually able to improv my way out of most situations, This however is just bullshit. There is a difference between difficulty and bullshit. Earlier levels were proper difficulty, last levels aren't difficult they are luck, complete luck. I don't want anyone posting "ooooh practice practice you suck blah blah" Because
1. I don't suck.
2. I have practiced
and 3. REGARDLESS of the skill level of the player or the game it is absolute bullshit to spend 5 hours last night on one sublevel, and had to shut it off or I would probably destroy my house due to lack of sleep and utter frustration. Now I am starting again and I see not much has changed. It seems the only way to beat these final levels on hard is to wait until the game lets you win. Which it doesn't do very often.

rant rant rant. -Just trying to calm down before I break another phone >.>

May as well have fun with this to prove a point.
I'll list my time spent on this in case you guys want to compare overall time wasted on this crap.

EDIT: Starting over with the phone method, there's no way in hell I'm wasting my time going to the main menu like this.

Checklist

Stage 9-1 CLEARED 2:23 PM

Stage 9-2 CLEARED 3:20PM Had issues with monster blocks cooperating about 30times
Stage 9-3 CLEARED 3:32 PM Not too many problems on this one. Mainly because it's more skill oriented than the others. XD
Stage 9-4 CLEARED 3:50PM
Stage 9-5 CLEARED 4:20 PM Vastly improv'd though the guide helps quite a bit.Took a small break to eat, This run is looking great, much better than last nights 5 hour session.
Stage 9-6 CLEARED 6:05 PM Pheww.... I can see why you guys mentioned skill, I was just mad at one level really, The rest clearly involve quite a bit of skill to complete. Therefore I agree with Technole XD

Seriously?

I know you don't want to hear it, but the truth is you need to practice more and refine your skill even further than you already have. If you can't beat Stage 9 on Hard, you don't stand a chance against Babel Mode.

Or you can just treat the trophies like condiments.

That's just it though! haha The only time I ever die is when the game does something crazy and outlandish. Not trying to sound like an elitist by the way, I've had my fair share of deaths that were my fault, But it's just getting annoying. I've calmed down now and am about to start 9-2. Golding it for the 4th time now mind you :P

Trophies are like women, they make us mad, but we like having lots of them... Horrible simile but I can't seem to think about much other than beating this level. Creativity has gone out the window for now. XD

The thread title is wrong. Trophies reward the skilled in this game, some people just need to hear that.

The only possible random deaths in Stage 9 are the moving monster blocks. Everything else can be overcome with memorization (like the 9-6 special blocks pattern) and skill.

Sorry but I respectfully disagree, The trophies reward tolerance and persistence I'd say. But to each their own. Example of what just happened to me, monster block moved just as I was about to step on it and it was my last resort, Sheer bad luck.

EDIT: Now, Tech don't let it seem like I'm saying skill isn't a factor, the game is based on skill for sure, I just think it has become waayy to common for the game to screw you up.I am also only talking about the Golding trophies, Babel however I agree, is pure skill.

If you are talking about tolerance, like I did die at the very end of 9-2 as a monster block randomly moved out of position causing me to die. But I didn't get mad, I knew it could happen. Just went back through the level, even faster, and moved on.

We can agree to disagree, but think about what I said when you get to 9-5.

Spent a good 3/4 hours on 9-5 last night :/. I agree with you in methods of tolerating random events, but the fact that it has happened so many times, Is aggravating XD

Couldn't help but laugh at this. Perfect run and I mean perfect. Last few blocks had to improvise for whatever reason.. I was 1 layer lower, fine Improv, knock it out, awesome, go me. Lastish block was a bomb, as I was improving it was lit, not a problem, just rush to the end, yay awesome cool fantastic. The second I press and continue my climb it blows up, sending me falling.

Edit: Same thing has happened in 3 different variations in a row, every time perfect run monster block(s) wont cooperate.
