Unhandled Error

At random times during the game I kept getting "Unhandled Error",
A black background with two white lines up and down, with the error message " Unhandled Error" in the center. I cant do anythin further. When i click the PS button i get
"
1.Turn off game
2.Turn off controller
Turn off PS3"
somethin like tat
Anyone else gettin that error? Is this coz of PS3 or the game?
The game save doesnt get corrupted though. The game patch has been installed.

I have never experienced this so I'm thinking it might be your PS3.

I once experienced that kind of error during the last boss fight.

Just before that error popped up he was going all crazy and wouldn't stop summoning reapers in the last phase of the fight. I think there were like 30 on the field at the same time :x In future fights against him I've never seen him summoning reapers again in that very phase...

This appears to be some sort of programming error to me as something went wrong in the AI and the error was unhandled after all, like it says. Might be caused by some overflow or so, I dunno...
It never happened to me again though and thanks to the checkpoint system it wasn't really an issue to me...

the problem lies within the game! it just crashes, even the patch didn't fix that.

The patch only fixed the save corruption that was a result of the unhandled error. No one knows if they're going to patch the actual unhandled error glitch though.

I got the unhandled error screen while I was pummeling little ogres! It made me think about how hard was that little dude hit that it crashed the game.

I realize this is an old thread, but it seemed the appropriate spot.
I just bought this game last night. I started it up, never made it past the book at the beginning... Everytime I started it, while the book pages are being read, it pops and says "unhandled error". I tried to start this game like 25 times. With patch, without, on psn, not on, etc, etc.

NOTHING worked. I can't even start the frigging game. I'm going to return the disc today, and see if it is in fact a faulty disc.

For the record, of the 25 ps3 games I have, I've had 0 issues...until now.

If anyone has any advice at all, thanks in advance.
