I found this guy quite enjoyable really, the key being to build up your combo rate so you can keep extracting orbs to fill your magic meters.

I liked to start with a synconised block, as that gives a nice boost to the meter and is the easiest move to fail. Follow with the square-triangle-square buzzsaw thing, then a few Holdsquare-square "Heavy" direct hits and you should have a nice level of combo points. I *think* you get more combo points for variation, which is why i've been doing this... i could easily be mistaken

As long as you have some light magic, and time you get hit just fill up your health and repeat the previous step to refill the light meter. Or if you are just owning him, shadow it up.

And (imo) Zues pisses on this guy. I found this guys 1st form the most difficult.

i beat zues way faster then this guy,his second form i had no magic and low health,i never used my dark crystal on him,i kept trying to block his attacks and farm orbs but it seemed like he was hitting me before actually hitting me so it was difficult to time the block, after practice it got easier

allright mate sorry to say but when u play GOW U got to beat game once before u can play titan mode but personally i found the 1st part of 1st boss fight as hard (nearly) as zues fight but stick at it as top game also have to say i find this game excellent whith simalarities to GOWs dantes/darksiders and im hoping a bit later resi too my 1st time on a castlevania so can only imagine what i missed during ps 2/1 days anyway if i could just upgrade my cross with a plasma cutter erm asking too much isuppose back to GOW if u want to prove ur skill then dont finish the challange arena till u beat titan mode as easy glitcth makes it impossible to die so do it hardcore well worth the effort ok hope that helps laters

Default dont forget

just quick reminder to those spending bit longer on this fight after u smash last statue it still jumps into 3 fast QTEs that cannot be mistimed then 2 more that arent as harsh ye i know most of the game involves QTEs but i spent that long trying to smash the statues i totally forgot and had to start smashing statues again so dont make same mistake etc

Just beat him, man, that was a pain... I eventually beat him by saving all the light/dark magic on the first stage - you can beat him simply by hitting and dodging, it doesn't even take that long. On the second stage I immediately used a crystal, then dark magic knives, and eventually plain old hit and roll. On the third stage I found stomping to be very helpful.

Edit: After replaying, I don't believe how easy it was to use regular knives against his second form. I just threw them and they did a ton of damage (on paladin!). Just throw regular knives and then use dark magic/hit&roll on him.
