cant hit floor switches?

so i played this on 360 and dont recall having issues with the floor switches in frankenstiens area, im fighting the scorpion thing and i can charge punch and he misses it and jump to ground pound and he over shoots it, so whats the deal??? anyone else have this issue"?

Use L2+triangle. He should pound right in front of his feet.
