What exactly does ranked play counts mean? Only ranked or both single player and online games? And another question: Is online gaming easy? because it looks kinda hard for me...
![]() I will buy this game but I just want to hear some opinions. Also here we can talk about online playing in COJ.

Yeah wherever it says ranked match counts, it means campaign and ranked match count ^^
It's a good game and the trophies seem to be easy so far, multiplayer is FUN and by no means hard, unless you haven't played FPS games before.. if you have played some cod, kz etc you won't have any problems at all. I really think 79 doesn't do justice to this game: while it's true it has some flaws (animations are a bit stiff, no co-op), it also has a lot of plus points. Now, if gaming websites would give real scores, 79 would sound right. But nowadays a game in the 70s, on most websites, is a crappy game. Only terrible games get lower than that (terminator salvation, leisure suit larry etc), and Call of Juarez is surely much better and unique than many other games out there. With Red Dead: Redemption so far away, the only thing I can say is this.. if you love western movie or games, buy this one. If you don't care about western in particular or you don't have much money to spend, you should at least rent it or borrow it from a friend, don't dismiss it right away because this is a nice game, not perfect but really nice. |

About online..
It's fun, there are several modes available, including free for all, team deathmatch, manhunt (protect/kill a target), wanted (have yet to play that one) and wild west legends, which makes you relive typical western moments such as bank robbery, ok corral etc (the mission differs on every map). There's quite a few maps, I didn't count but I think around 10 sounds about right and there's 13 multiplayer classes, ranging from gunslinger to sniper, from native american (who comes with his trusty bow, for stealthy kills) to rifleman, miner, officer, hombre (a crazy dude who dual wields shotgun!) etc. Each class has different weapons and strenghts, namely different health and different walking/running speed. Unlike other games, where you get a kill/death ratio, the more you kill here the more the bounty on your head is worth (which means people are gonna look for you). When you kill someone you cash in on the bounty (that doesn't get erased until the end of the match) and you can use those money to temporarily upgrade your class until the end of the match, or save up and spend moeny to unlock the classes, since only 5 classes are available in the beginning. |

How to I actually upgrade the weapons? Quite a few times during the match "Rifleman upgrade available" pops up but I can't see an option to upgrade. Also, is there any way to check your MP stats? So far it just seems to be global stats available.

Press Start to bring up the character selection menu. Then press L1 to upgrade whatever class you happen to be using. It will level up to level 2, then when you have enough money level it up to level 3. |
