MW3 Patch v1.15 details

• 400 new ranks included in 5 new prestige levels (prestige 16 through 20)
• Dead Man’s Hand now has a reduced explosive radius
• Dragunov rebalance-- we reduced the recoil
• Fixed Dead Silence / Sitrep Pro issue with Specialist class (you can't hear your own footsteps anymore)
• Blast Shield is now buffed in hardcore modes
• Fixed an issue where some “defense” kills were not incrementing on the leaderboard
• Fix for rapid fire glitch (semi-automatic weapons can't gain rapid fire and unlimited ammo anymore)
• Increased damage reduction for Blast Shield in Hardcore modes
• Fix for Kill Confirmed: Update the player score before updating the team score
• Competition Mode added to System Link (LAN parties!)

I actually had the "rapid fire glitch" happen to me once during a Clan Op. I was using the MK14 and after reloading I got flashbanged mid-reload and it turned into a fully auto gun with unlimited ammo I didn't get any kills with it, but was certainly a bizarre glitch.

Well at least I don't have to worry too much about the DMH BS now.

I might try the Dragunov sometime (I used it quite a bit in 2011 on MW1).

Yay no more random footsteps when I'm using Dead Silence LOL

Might try blast shield on HC sometime.

That reminds me of the CoD4 hacked lobbies which I always exited.

Same as what I said above about Blast Shield.

Never noticed a problem with KC, but if there is glad it's fixed.

Sounds good for LAN people.

At least IW is finally patching their games!

Never noticed any of those scoreboard glitches.

Looks like MLG and competitive can stay alive with the new LAN updates.

There's still a few guns that need buffs. M16 anyone? Make it viable for a good number of people again not just all-stars. Got some good stuff in this patch though, it's a start.

The M16A4 was a good weapon back in the days of MW1. Only needed 1-2 bursts to kill.

Probably a little too good with stopping power for most people but BOPS and MW2 got the M16 right I'd say. It was still a good weapon on there.

In my opinion, anyone using rapid fire should be permanently banned from playing online, their PlayStation destroyed and their pet rabbit killed.

Woah I never knew of this, would have been pretty cool to witness.
