COD4 Hack

I realize this isn't the most appropriate place to bring up this topic, but I'm having a hard time finding another forum that's for COD4.

I first starting playing COD on MW2, then Black Ops, and now MW3. I've NEVER prestiged because I don't like to, and so all my ranks have been 5 Star General, which shows up on my MW3 tag. I thought it would be neat to go back on COD4 and WAW to get both ranks up to 5 Star General as well, so today I started my adventure, and about 5 hours in, around level 27, I went into a lobby that somehow got hacked and suddenly I was prestige 10, level 55 and I am fucking furious... beyond belief. Is there ANY way I can reset my rank back to 1 - or just delete it entirely somehow? I'm really pissed off that it's showing up on my MW3 tag... and I want it gone!

TC, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Once you've been hacked, you cannot go back. There's a hack where people go back to level one (still that same prestige) but have unlimited negative XP but no way you can rank up unless you do some insane amount of gaming. So pretty much that would be worse if that happened to you.

People should know by now that their chances are very high that they'll be hacked on COD4 and W@W.

I'd honestly rather go back to having no rank on COD4 and never being able to play it again than have this fuckin rank. I'll look into a reset hank then... thanks for your help.

I had the same happen to me on World at War and i was frickin livid but I still haven't found a way to reset my level. Sorry!

As abrasive as this might sound, you get a prestige token for every cod game you prestige in, so you getting hacked DOES technically work for your benefit. Though I'd certainly be mad too haha.

Why is this in the MW3 forum?

The only way you can undo such a hack is if you dashboard as soon as you join such a game so it doesn't save what happens. I got to 1st prestige legitimately that way. There are quite a few jackasses hosting these XP lobbies in public games.
