Is call of duty elite really worth buying?

I forget where, but on some sort of FAQ or Q&A on Elite's site I read that COD Elite subscription will (as of right now) only give you access to MW3 DLC. I would assume if you got a subscription now, and some DLC for the next COD game was released before it expired that you would have access to that as well, but I'm not sure if you would have access to MW3 DLC if you bought the subscription AFTER the next COD game is released. Either way, that doesn't really help anyone looking to buy now.

The subscription is only to one account, but you can access the DLC on any of your PS3's accounts. It's like a magazine subscription - the magazines you get are addressed to one name, but anyone in your house can read them.

In My opinion only good thing is that you get dlc first

i got the prestige edition when the game came out that included elite.
I played it for a month and bought BF3 and havent been back on it since.

Really the only good thing is you get all of the new dlc included with it so that pays for itself i guess.

what happens to the dlc when your elite subscription ends?

is it like PS plus where you lose your contents? or is the dlc completely yours?

After just getting it, I would say no for now. Depends what they have going forward. You can't even play the new maps in regular games.

No. It was a complete waste of money. Clan ops still dont work. It wasnt full functional for a long time after release. It is slow and clunky.

You get the DLC before anyone else which means only a fraction of the gamebase is playing on the new maps. Unless everyone in your party has it, you cant play as a group.

I regret getting the Hardened edition. Maybe it will be worth it when Black Ops 2 hits, but that is a full year I payed for a service and got nothing out of it.

I'm a COD veteran - have 40 levels of prestige - and play the games a lot and I would not recommend Elite to anyone. At least not yet.
