I asked my friend today at school if I could get his MW2 borrowed and he said 'yeah, but you're trying to get platinum, you won't get it' and then my other friend said that I also wouldn't because it was too hard and I'm a complete noob, they said they couldn't even themself do Spec Ops on Veteran.
Now it's true i'm a COD noob. I've only tried it at this friend's home and overall only played for 1 hour of cod. So I ask you guys, could it be possible for me to get this plat? |

Yes, Modern Warfare 2 was my first Call of Duty and I easily platinumed it and had a lot of fun too.
Veteran isn't too difficult but it isn't a breeze, this will probably give you the most trouble luckily there are not too many infinitely spawning enemies so you can really take your time just keep your head down and take it slow. Spec Ops is easy as long as you have a good partner, leave this till last though when you have practised the campaign and have a grasp of the game. Good luck.

Not at all impossible. This was like my second or third plat and I hadn't played any other CoD game before either. The game is not really about skill, more so about patience and not getting frustrated when you die. You will die a lot on veteran, and a lot of those deaths will be cheap and unavoidable the first time around. It's not too hard though, just so long as you don't give up. You won't need a partner either for any mission, other than of course the ones where 2 players is compulsory (2 missions I think)

It is absolutely possible to platinum this game. MW2 was my first CoD game as well and I had a fairly easy time doing it. the hardest part, as with any game that is new to you, is to familiarize yourself with the controls and get comfortable with them.
The campaign is the best place to start since it is definitely easier than the Spec Ops. Veteran difficulty is not that hard. As long as you don't get too frustrated with the cheap AI being able to spot you from the next town over and get headshots on you, . Just advance slowly, always look around you for enemies that are just hiding behind some chest-high wall. It might be more advisable for you to play through the game on Hardened difficulty first, especially if you don't mind playing through the campaign twice. This will give you a good idea of what to expect on Veteran. If you are still having trouble, check out the NextGenTactics channel on Youtube here: NextGenTactics's Channel - YouTube for videos helping you with the campaign step-by-step.Quote:
