Can't get past sniping part

I was playing this on easy when it came out in 2009 and could not get passed the part where your in the back of the jeep and you stop and half to snipe all the nazis crossing the bridge before they get to the end. I remember there were too many and I was never able to kill them all thus never progressing. Im thinking of downloading it again and trying but I need tips on this unpassable part.

been a while since i played this game, but i believe i waited for them to get to the end of the bridge and turn to run towards you. this gives you a point where they either stopped, or turned to run straight at you, so you didn't have moving shots (right to left)
