So I have the platinum in the bag more or less, I have the ultimate box and am shredding through races on Burnout, I have all the trophies except for the all events in paradise city, burning routes, carson inferno van trophies and the license trophies. While looking through the guide I saw I need 90 frigging wins for my burnout license ... =( can someone give me any tips or hints on how to make this easier? Thought about making myself do 15 events a day or 20 if I can and have the platinum in 4-6 days but can someone tell me if there is an easier way?
I am using the P12 88 Special btw and LOVE that car, of all the cars in the pack this car is the beast for all game modes except marked man. EDIT: Also wanna mention that I am on my A license and it said I have to do 40 races while the guide says 50. So does that mean I will probably have to do 80 for burnout license? but honestly how long will 90 events take? I really want to platinum this game pronto so I can move on to ico and shadow of the colossus =( Last edited by RixwanAnwar; 12-18-2011 at 08:40 PM. |

Well, first thing that may make you feel a little easier... you don't need to get another 80-90 wins. You only need the 40 that the game says you need. When the guide says 90 wins, it means TOTAL wins, including all the wins you needed to get your other licenses. So rest a bit easier.
![]() And go with what the game tells you... the trophy pops when the game gives you your Burnout license, so if the game says you need 40 then that's what you need. At six per day, you'd have the trophy in a week. The cars are definitely better on your A license than they were earlier in the game though... I rolled through until the A license and maybe lost one race total, but it took more skill to win races once I got the A. So stick to races you're comfortable with. And don't forget about the Burning Routes, as I found those were some of the easier races to win since you are just racing against the clock and not against other cars... it can be irritating to have to swap cars for each one, but keep them in mind. It goes quicker than you think... I did a big run my first day (about 10-12 races), then did maybe 6-7 a day after that and had the trophy in less than a week. Don't try to take on too many races a day, especially since you have to plan on the possibility to lose races... slow and steady and the Burnout License will come without much trouble.

Burnout Licence comes after A, so if your licence says "upgrade after ** wins" then you go by that. Ignore anything else.
As for how to do it fast, I'd recommend the GT Nighthawk if you've bought it. Even if you like the P12 88, it's not a racing car so you're actually wasting time using P12 88 because it's taking you longer to get from A to B. So using the GT Nighthawk, view the the map and find the shortest route Race and Marked Man events (use cursor to pick the event then I think R2 will show you the course, but it should tell you which button to press) so his is a great way to quickly knock out some wins. Should you want to mix things up, if you're near a good spot for stunt runs such as the Wind Farm or the Lone Stallion Ranch, then do those. If you've done a lot of stunt runs, these two spots are great places to earn points. If you've avoided stunt runs then you won't need as many points so it will be quicker too. Get the points needed, stop the car and let event end. With Road Rage, hit the target required then just stop the car and do nothing until event ends. Don't do more than is required. The less of these you've done then the less cars you've to crash but always try sticking to places with long stretches of road the AI cars can't escape like the I-88 or the bridge to the island, or the North and South Mountain roads (long road from ranch to observatory). But yeah, in the end just use the GT Nighthawk and do the races and marked man. You can do the burning routes if you're close to a junkyard but the extra time needed to constantly switch cars just makes it longer. |

Do loads of Road Rages with the Inferno Van and do as many Burning Routes as you have left and that should clear up a lot. If you still need more events mop them up by doing a few Marked Mans in the Inferno Van and a few Races. By then you should have got your Burnout licence.
