The reason for that is the game was patched with trophies awhile after it came out. The trophies were made easier as the player base was bound to be smaller. There are a few games that have gotten this treatment due to being patched some time after the games original release. The trophies were meant to be retroactive but I don't think it worked so the requirements were lowered. If you look at the achievements for it on the 360 there are achievements for getting 100% in game. Which includes all billboards, gates, jumps elite license, all roads ruled, and everything else I forgot. There are a lot more online achievements also.

Yeah I knew this, and I guess it's only fair for those people who had done all those things before the patch. Still I feel a bit cheap only scratching the surface of the game and getting a platinum out of it.

I usually like to get all my games to 100% (see sig), but I've only played this since it came free in PSN Plus, knowing that my PSN plus will end in a few weeks, I'm worried that I'll run out of time to complete all the DLC before I lose access to the game

I got all the disc trophies in 13 hours (that's game time), I got all the DLC trophies in around 15 hours, so you won't run out of time, this game is incredibly easy both to platinum and 100%. I was fortunate to find a guy to boost the DLC online trophies though- which you kind of have to do given how hard it is to find matches with randoms.

Yeah but there are free DLC trophies though, so yo can get to 65% or so without buying DLC.

Iv got plat + 100% but iv read on the criterion site that if you complete every challenge, every road rule, every event, freeburn... Etc... DLC included you can get plat + 102%

The 102% is ingame completion, not the trophy list

i mean the base game is great, paradise island is worth it, but the rest is a scam

yea the game used to be great then all the dlc started and was all real crappy. I used to completely addicted to it then variable conditions, car packs and paid dlc. and the car atteibute changes kinda ruined it for me.

the island was supposed to be free then was delayed for a year to make room for all te other pointless shit.

All of the DLC I found to be a lot of fun. At least, it was way back when. I haven't played it in awhile but that community was awesome. It's tons of fun with other people and all the DLC was well worth the price for me.
